About
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I know that this is an exciting and a little bit stressful time with all the planning and coordinating. I view it as my job to ease as much stress as possible regarding your ceremony.
My typical process is to connect with the couple to get a better sense of what you are envisioning for your ceremony. I will then email you both questionnaires that I would ask you to fill out separately. I will then craft a ceremony, using many of your own words, that will uniquely reflect who you are as individuals and who you are as a couple.
Nobody likes to participate in or sit through a boring wedding in a box, so I pride myself in providing each couple that I work with a ceremony that tells their story. We can even get your bridal and groom parties and guests involved in the ceremony! You will laugh, you will cry and you will remember your ceremony for years to come.
It is an honor and a privilege to officiate sacred ceremonies that celebrate the diverse and rich culture of the Washington DC area.

Mary was such a pleasure to work with and my husband and I couldn't be more grateful to have her officiate our wedding. She was attentive and carefully listened to what we were hoping for, offered helpful suggestions, and wrote a beautiful ceremony. I knew Mary was the perfect fit right from the first phone call. Originally I was nervous to hire an officiant online — but Mary was immediately warm, friendly, and very understanding about whatever religious (or not!) preferences we wanted to include in our ceremony. She really focused on us and what was special to us as a couple and I am truly grateful. Due to COVID postponements she even offered to do a legal ceremony for us and it was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT! She was right on time, professional, had great energy, made us laugh, and made it a truly personal and special ceremony. Everyone was in tears. Our guests loved her and we get to do it all over again with her next year for our post-COVID wedding (lol!) Can't say it enough... HIRE MARY!!

I'm not sure there are words really to describe how amazing our ceremony from Mary was! The number of guests that came up to say that it was the best ceremony that they had been to is astounding and that is saying a lot given how many weddings me and my friends/family have all been to! She was personable, funny, compassionate and conveyed exactly what we didn't even know we wanted in our ceremony. It was a uniquely crafted ceremony that represented me and my husband and our relationship perfectly. I cannot say enough kind words and would recommend Mary to anyone who is looking for an officiant!

Rev. Mary Stone is exceptional officiant. My fiance and I started working with her 4 months before our big day and from day one I felt a sense of peace and comfort. She is so full of life and easy person to work with. She calmed my nerves and ensured everything will be just fine. I enjoyed our sessions going over our ceremony script. She is very professional and prompt at responding she takes her time in crafting your love story and it was more than what I imagined. What can I say to even begin to express how happy we were to have found Mary? Right away, we knew that Mary was the perfect fit for us. We originally planned our wedding for early April, but had to postpone due to COVID-19 restrictions. Mary was there for us and easy to reach and communicate with through all of this sudden upheaval, and was able to officiate our very small elopement ceremony to honor our original wedding date. We were lucky enough to also snag her to officiate our postponed wedding later this year in September for our family and friends. Her attitude and presence is fun and upbeat, while still being able to get across the significance and emotional weight of your marriage. I couldn't have asked for more and I am so grateful that we found her.
