FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The prices in my field vary largely. Depending on the materials that are needed, the size of the job, labor required and so on. For most leaks and repairs I have a flat rate pricing system. Although some times a repair or leak can become a bit more extensive therefor becoming a bit more expensive. Usually when I'm given a few details on a repair I can give a good estimated price without seeing it.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have grown up around the roofing business my entire life. However, I started working full time at my father's roofing company in 2011. Since 2011 I have recieved in-depth on the job training. Not only have I been taught how to perform the work, I have also been taught how to run the business. Although, I do plan to expand my knowledge in business via the classroom this coming year.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My father has been in this business since he was 25. He is now 65. I graduated from high school and went straight to work with him. I learned the trade very quickly and I enjoyed it as well. My father teaches me more and more everyday so when the time comes for him to retire I can take over the company and thrive.
