I hired Anthony to remove a fallen tree and repair a fence that was damaged by the tree. We spoke over the weekend, and then Anthony was able to complete an estimate and the work on the same day (Monday). I will definitely look to Anthony when I have a project in the future!
Penn did more jobs than I can list here; sheetrock, front door replacement/upgrade, siding/trim repairs, chair rail install, baseboard upgrade, painting, lighting upgrade, deck upgrade, vintage furniture repair, reroute coaxial cables, install outlets, etc... The costs were so reasonable, I kept finding (and still am) projects to do. Penn and helpers worked within my scheduling parameters and worked well with the HOA painters which saved a lot of time and money.
Kevin installed a 2 rail post fence. He was very precise with the supplies, communicated very well, great clean up and did a great job. Very satisfied. I would recommend him and use his services again.
Craftsmanship & price on shutters was excellent. Not yet installed as I haven't completed painting them but I have no doubt he'll do a fine job with the installation.
Part of our backyard fence blew over during the high winds we had over the past weekend. David reached out to me and was at my house to give me an estimate within an hour of my work request . He was thorough when looking at the scope of work required, gave me a great price, and did a great job of fixing my fence. He went beyond the call of duty and checked the rest of my fence to make sure that it was stable. He was very professional and punctual. I highly recommend his services. We will definitely call him again if we have issues in the future.
Did a fantastic job on plumbing for a new house construction.
Completed the patio installation , deck modification and landscaping right on time. The quote was reasonable and quality of work was really good. My backyard looks really good now. The project has added living space at my home.
Kevin is currently modifying half of our 2 car garage and turning it into a pool room. We are extremely please with his work ethic and enthusiasm. He has many good ideas and works well with us as the project has changed somewhat from its original conception. We plan to use him for several more projects, including a deck installation with a pergola.
Painting & Light Carpentry has done more than one job for me. When I was pregnant they extended my nursery out, installed a window, replaced wood paneling with dry wall, installed baseboard heating, mounted an airconditioner painted the room, and laid carpet. Very professional, very clean, EXCELLENT PRICES, and very friendly. I will count on Painting & Light Carpentry for all my future projects.
Darrin has done a number of jobs for me, including installing some windows, a storm door, and laminate flooring. He's very detail and quality oriented and does whatever it takes to get the job done and do it right! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him or to hire him again myself. Very trustworthy.
Justin did a great job fixing a hole in my basement wall! He offered a fair price for the work, showed up on time and made excellent repairs to the wall! Then he painted with the paint I provided to finish everything up! I would definitely hire Justin again for other handyman work! Thanks Justin!
Needed to have a brick walkway installed in the back of my home to connect my basement entrance to my driveway. Paul was prompt and professional with scheduling and communication. This was during the 30 days of rain. Paul was excellent in keeping in touch and making sure I was aware he was monitoring the weather and would get to my path as soon as the ground was dry. True to his word the very day the ground had tried he had his crew on site to install my walkway. He installed exactly what I was looking for at a competitive price. I will definitely use Paul again for my landscaping and hardscaping needs.
John did most of our kitchen remodeling work for us. This was the first time we have done a project like this so we were sort of feeling our way. I would hire John again, though his helper, Jamie, was not as good. I think the qulity of work was generally good, but I wasn't there to watch most of it. Some smaller details looked like they could have been handled better, such as flatness/evenness of the floor, placement of electrical boxes, some of the edges where the new floor met the old floor or HVAC vents. John was always happy to change something for us, but of course it would cost more to make the change. When they initially installed the cabinets one section was about 3/4 of an inch misalligned with the existing wall. Apparently they didn't see anything wrong with that and went ahead and installed the cabinets. When I saw the result I thought we needed to fix it, which John did, but he charged us another $225 to do it. There are probably always unforeseen circumstances that arrise during construction, especially in remodeling, and sometimes John would figure out a good solution (one that we liked), but other times it would be not such a good solution and we might have wanted it done differently. So more communication at those times would have been nice. Overall we are pleased with the results. The new kitchen looks pretty good, though we're still only about 95% completed. We are still waiting for a few ordered items to arrive and John will be back to finish things off. John was good at telling us when he would be there and when he wouldn't. The project has gone on a little longer than we had hoped, about 8 weeks, but things kept on schedule pretty well and there were a few unexpected extras like replacing part of the ceiling and removing multiple old floors. It was pretty easy to work with John and he seems trustworthy. I think we are a bit overbudget, but we did add in some extra painting to the job. Knowing what I now know, I think the project would go more smoothly if we had to do it again. I think John also learned some things during this project. For example, I don't hink he had installed hardwood flooring before. I bet he would also be better at that if he had to do it again. John gets things done, but sometimes he should think ahead a few more steps and try to figure out if he's doing things the best way.
Mr Chaplain installed 2 sink bathroom faucets and 3 outside lights. He did a superb work at a very affordable price. I was very impressed with his work and I would recommend him highly.
Mike has worked on many jobs for me and is extremely helpful and conscientious. His advice has served me well in planning, budgeting and execution of various projects, from deck building to tree cutting and removal. He priced, designed, and replaced an 8x18 foot deck in four days after boards were found to be failing!! Saved me $100s on tree removals, and also on other house and yard projects, including advice on electrical and plumbing work.
