Jan has taught me well these first few lessons, each one better and easier for me. She is super friendly, always on time(earlier in fact 😊), answering any questions , but also keeping me on task(I have ADD, trouble concentrating). Very thankful for her patience with me. She has such a wealth of knowledge and experience, and coming from a lifetime performer’s perspective, as well as traditional music theory. Overall excellent experience and absolutely no complaints. Planning on continuing long term with her. Highly recommended.

My two kids, 5 and 7 years old, are enjoying their pianolessons with Jan. She is always on time and gives us flexibility about time or date if we need it. She comes to our home. We can see our children improve. She is very patient with them and encouraging. We highly recommend her. We are very happy with her.

Jan Haflin is exactly what I was looking for! I have some experience on other instruments and particularly wanted to learn to improvise on the piano. Jan listened to what I wanted and has formulated a program for me that covers the basics of sight reading, scales, exercises etc, but also targets riffs and music in the styles I enjoy in order to extend me with soloing. Jan is an extremely accomplished player and seems to already know every piece I want to learn! I highly recommend Jan to anyone who wants to learn piano and have fun doing it.

We are having home lessons with Ms. Haflin with my 7 and 8 year olds, and they look forward to them very much. Ms. Haflin is very patient, and she has a way of ensuring they learn proper rhythm and techniques instead of rushing them through each lesson. She leaves them feeling accomplished and having fun. We are very fortunate to have her travel and give quality lessons for our children.

My daughter is 9 years old. I highly recommend Jan Haflin as a piano teacher since we had a good experience. I do recommend that parents support their kid's music education to make the experience more enjoyable since music takes a lot of dedication.
