Juan, the owner and someone from his staff came to our house and provided us with a quote same day as our outreach. Very nice and professional. We told them we are getting quotes from others and will let them know. After doing our research, I seemed to like Juan the most. His target completion for the project start to finish was a week. Others were saying 2-3 weeks. I wanted the job done quickly and for the contractors to be out of the house asap. So that was the main reason we chose to go with Eduards flooring. He brought with him a catalogue from House of Forgings. I hadn’t heard of it so asked him if they have used them before and about the quality of the parts. He assured me they were the best. The first day of work the workers came on time and with material. I was surprised that the boxes had another name - Ideal Stairs. To me that was a bait and switch but I let it go bc the balusters looked the same and seemed sturdy enough. Abel was the main guy and Juan said he was their best. After first day all they did was demo some parts of the old staircase. Then came the issues - some parts were missing or some wrong parts were ordered. The work had to stop bc of this and the office manager Licela told me it wasn’t their fault - it was the supplier who sent incorrect items. There was no work done one whole day. Then Abel started working but he didn’t bring any other crew. I thought that was odd. He seemed to have a very difficult time in figuring out how to put the hand rails together - I thought this was their best guy? All we changed from the old rail to the new was the posts and the wooden balusters. I didn’t know why it was so difficult. Ultimately the work was not making much progress and I complained to Licela and asked to speak with Juan - who was out of the country for some emergency. I told her that I was dissatisfied and sent her videos showing the lack of progress. She arranged a conference call with Juan and they agreed to remove Abel and send another crew. Already a week in I asked how much longer for completion- the new crew said 3-4 days. It took them start to finish 3 weeks - 3 times the initial project time we had discussed. The workers seemed to want to be done with the project and would cut corners. I had to stay on them to point out obvious imperfections. Like they didn’t sand down the hand rails properly. Then applied a very subtle gloss to them. I needed them to go over it a few times to match the shine of the floors. They would do a good job cleaning up after themselves and always tried to please us. Overall I think the job was completed with average professional quality. I don’t plan on ever recommending this company to any friend or family.

Juan Nuala and his entire team were very professional end-to-end. He responded to our bid within a few hours, provided a competitive estimate same day. He provided great advice as they had to uninstall a previous contractor's sub-par job, the install and finishing was executed with quality without sacrificing speed. You're at your own risk if you pass on employing him and his team for any of your floor installation projects. PS* Wish we could upload pictures!

We recently completed a job doing stairs for a client off of Thumbtack, they had stairs installed that didn't match the stain of their flooring, they called me over to refinish the stairs and I was able to finish them matching the stains perfectly.
