The first time we hired them to change hardwood flooring for our living room, & the second project we hired cosmo for our master bathroom remodel and extension, because old bathroom was the worst part of the house for me. Not because I don’t like its functionality, of course, but because it was just an old sad place that had been done more than 30 years ago. Now we have new fixtures, bigger space with new tub and new appliances and they even moved around some walls to gain extra space! Couldn’t be happier!"See more

What is the best waterproof flooring for a basement?

I was in a jam and needed to replace the lower 12”-18” of the walls in my basement due to water damage. I had a number of contractors stop by to give me quotes, but what sold me about JJ was their attention to detail and the creative solutions they offered during their initial walkthrough. Not only did they quote a very reasonable price, but they also offered to take care of other items in my basement as well (e.g., see before/after photo of my wet bar). They showed up on time every day, worked full days, and were done within a week. They were respectful of our furniture/toys/junk by covering them with protective tarps throughout their work. And perhaps most importantly, they were very inclusive with us during their time here so we were able to weigh in on decision points that impacted design, function, and price. Upon completion, they encouraged me to inspect every aspect of their work to ensure I was satisfied and even offered to come back later in case I ever spotted something of concern, which gave me great confidence in their work product. In summary, I would strongly recommend them to anybody.

Tony and his team did a phenomenal job transforming our 500 sq foot basement (ie. Concrete box) into a warm & inviting family space with a gorgeous bathroom, well-thought our storage areas and hidden laundry space. Tony is very competitively priced, BUT unlike other contractors, he provides extremely high- quality work. He is meticulous and a perfectionist which means you will LOVE what you get when you work with him. He went above & beyond in a few ways for our project—he completely re-worked our plumbing to move our laundry giving us more open square footage (an entire extra wall of space) and making the space much more aesthetically pleasing—-including reworking our boiler & radiator system (solving an issue that not even our heating & plumbing guys could fix!!!), he leveled the floor (which was beyond what we expected), and re-did all of our electrical to bring it up to code—all on top of finishing the basement & creating a new bathroom where one previously did not exist. While our project was a little delayed in finishing, it was well-worth working with Tony because of how nicely the space turned out, how easy and professional him and his teams are, and how smart he is. Basically, he doesn’t cut corners, skimp on materials, nor rip his customers off. I would highly recommend working with Tony and definitely will hire him in the future. He’s very responsive and also just a nice guy who we felt could be trusted without us being in the house too (which is important)!
