Tim was great to work with - he was diligent and hard-working. He repaired our iron porch railing in two evenings, even working into the dark and rain!
Jhonathan had a lot to deal with mounting my TV, plaster walls, a crooked house, and he took it all in stride diligently working until it looked great. I'm so pleased with how quick he responded, how thorough his work was, and I plan to rehire him for my next house projects. He has fairly extensive abilities and hiring him was a great choice. I highly recommend!
Alvin did a great job repairing molding on the walls, plumbing issues, etc. I appreciated that there was no job he couldn't fix, even if he didn't have the materials he needed at first. My only caveat is that he's got so many people calling him, but wants to help everyone, and as a result, can run kind of late. Just make sure to have a flexible schedule on days he's stopping by, so there is time for the job to be done right.
Sam is the "Real McCoy" when it comes to handywork. He is detailed oriented, hardworking, and friendly. Truly a gem to find!
I cannot describe how pleased my wife and I are with the work performed by Eric and Bob. What started out as a den remodeling job kept blossoming into other jobs including fence repairs, two bathroom updates, electrical rework, concrete porch and foundation parging, and lots of painting and moulding work. All in all, they were our go to contractor for many home repair jobs as we were getting the house ready to sell. They were always on time, did quality work, and always accommodated our schedules. I also want to note the thorough estimates, contracts, and revisions. They listened to our ideas and worked with us to complete some extensive renovations. You could not go wrong with selecting Notable Renovations for your home project!
I have never encountered a better contractor than Arnold at Vintage. His professionalism, knowledge of the project: handrail, railings, stair rails - wood with wrought iron tines - was impressive, as was the quality of his work. On time arrival on project, cleaned during the work, and finished earlier than expected with stunning results. He went above and beyond when he offered help in two non-project home repairs I was doing myself. I was truly moved by his kindness as I'm working to put our home on the market. Working with contractors is usually stressful, but not with Arnold and assistant, Marlon. Loved them, absolutely highly recommend them.
Learned about Curtis' company through work he did for a neighbor who was extremely satisfied with his work. They allowed us to see the work he'd done on their master bath and it looked great. We had our townhouse kitchen renovated by them. Curtis provided a very comprehensive estimate which detailed some items we hadn't considered such as daily clean-up, the payment schedule, and how receipts would be handled for materials purchases. His estimate came in at the middle of 4 estimates we received for tear-down of the original kitchen, new cabinet installation, tile floors and backsplash with some electrical and plumbing thrown in. He was able to accommodate an earlier start date when the cabinets we ordered were available earlier then expected by 2 weeks. He and his 2 assistants worked efficiently and more importantly they took care when doing the demo (and throughout the project) to protect the hallway floors and other areas of the house from dust, dirt and debris. They worked very efficiently and by the end of the 2nd day were starting on laying the tile floor. Cabinet installation went smoothly and he was kind enough to point out a couple items which we needed to report back to the cabinet makers regarding some bowing. Overall the project took approximately 9 business days from start to finish with a few small visits to finish up hardware, trim and reinstallation of the dishwasher once the counters and sink folks (separate company) finished their piece. His 2 assistants were equally pleasant and made us feel comfortable so we could ask questions as needed. We plan to use Curtis' company Oddjobs.pro again for upcoming bathroom renovations and some other work we need done.
Christian and his team did a great job on the replacement of bricks and iron railing along steps leading one story up to front door of our townhouse. Original railing was 30 years old, totally rusted, and disconnected from the steps, which made it a serious liability. The team found bricks that matched the shape of the current ones, constructed the railing so it was identical to the original design (required by the HOA) and painted it with three layers of primer/paint to fend off future rust. Project included sanding and repainting an iron gate as well. I am totally pleased with the finished product and will be soon using the 5th Gen Group for another brick project.
Did an excellent job of welding wrought iron garden chairs. On time, professional, polite, knowledgeable. I highly recommend and will contact him again for any future welding work.
Tyrone was punctual and addressed my immediate concern next day. The wind ruined my storm door and wrought iron rail to my entryway he came the next day cleaned up shattered glass. Replaced the door (even went to pick it out from the store based on my description of what I wanted) and refinished the rail rather than telling me to purchase it new he even refinished the other railing and complete reset them in the concrete. He’s personable honest and thorough I’ll be using him in the future for sure!
I had old wooden baulisters taken off my bannisters and replaced with wrought iron. They arrived on time and were very professional. They were a couple of hiccups but they were resolved quickly without any additional cost to me. The job was finished on time and I'm very pleased with the outcome. I would recommend them to any of my friends.
Jess Goodman (AMC, Inc.) was the general contractor for our home at 2800 Davenport Street NW in Washington, DC. What went well: AMC took on all challenges of this difficult property, post and beam construction on a 40-degree slope of rock behind a stream protected by the Army Corps of Engineers and avoided by other contractors. Jess met several difficult challenges with impressive ingenuity. The crew built an excellent, tight house to our specifications. Jess pays attention to the homeowner. He also means it when he guarantees his work. He has come back several times, even 10 years later, to make sure everything is right. What could have been better: Occasionally, deadlines slipped and there were some issues with finish work, although none with basic construction. This is a solid house. These items notwithstanding, Jess Goodman is a delight to work with and we are very pleased with the result. There is no question we would use him again.
Rolando remodeled a bathroom for me. I was very pleased with his work and I would highly recommend him. He was always on time, he did what he said he would do, and he cleaned up on a daily basis. Rolando completed the job in 5 days with no gaps in the work. He was truly and artist when it came to laying tile, his grout lines were true and everything lined up. I am proud to show anybody the finished job.
I was in desperate need to having my fence fix. Tropical Welding and Fabrication was recommended by a neighbor who was very please with work the company had previously done for him. I am very please with the job and very impress with Mr. Swire's knowledge and professionalism. He is neat and explained every step to achieving the look that I wanted. He was very fair when compared to other bids. He is very helful and accommodating.Showed up on time and did a nice job on my wrought-iron fence. Job was completed on time and is very well done. I highly recommend Tropical Welding and Fabrication.
Glascoe Welding performed excellent services. These wrought-iron fencing was completed in a timely fashion and the cost was economically sound. Last but not least the fences are absolutely gorgeous.
This appears to be a small company. The workman, Hugh, came over to view my steps and discuss what I needed in a wrought iron railing. He was ready to install the railing in only a few days. The railing design is graceful yet sturdy. I feel more at ease going down my steps now, especially at night. I strongly recommend this company.
In May 2013 John Locantore Arrived to my home on time for an estimate to replace a retaining wall. He went over different options for the wall. After reviewing all the estimates, John pricing was very reasonable and he was very professional and knowledgeable about the work that needed to be done. Because I had to go through my HOA the job did not start until Sept 2013. In the month of 9/2013 I allmaster Builders Inc. installed a new 6x6 poured concrete retaining wall and new iron railing on wall. My deck was not leveled and they raised the deck back to level. They removed and replaced porch posts and removed the rotten wood on porch. Doing the process Angel the foreman kept me up to date on the work being done. The job took about two weeks to complete. The crew was very professional and hard workers. Each day the crew arrived very early to my home. I am very happy with the work allmaster Builders, Inc. have completed for me. I will be using them for future projects in my home and highly recommend them to others.
