Because of this background in using food as medicine, I do not count calories for clients or do macros. All calories are not equal in terms of how they are used and needed by the body, so this goes against my training. I bring an evidence based approach to creating high quality nutritional and lifestyle plans for my clients. I am compassionate, caring and provide a safe environment for open communication. I have never been a healthy eater, mainly because my lack of initiative to take the time to make meals. I came to Dr. Sarah Corcoran because this unhealthy habit began catching up to me, effecting my skin, weight, and overall health. She took the time to understand not only my eating habits but my lifestyle habits and crafted the perfect nutrition and wellness plan for me. I was worried that following a meal plan was going to be hard to follow and that the meals would be bland. I was so pleasantly surprised by how easy and delicious these recipes were. Suddenly I found myself WANTING to cook all my meals and with the surplus options she gave me, I never got bored because I had options. Now I feel better and my complexion is much better because I'm using the tips and education she gave me to apply to all my meals. I was so appreciative that she took the time to help me understand the purpose behind each decision and gave me the background to understand the different benefits from different types of food. I would highly recommend to get your nutrition on track!

My visit with Dr. Sarah was fabulous. She came ready with information tailored to me, based on the paperwork she'd had me fill out prior to the visit. She gave me specific tips on what I could do to improve my nutrition and to help reduce my body's pain and inflammation that it has from Arthritis. I have now been doing them for the past two weeks (dairy free and Gluten free) and I feel SO much better already. My aches are a lot less, I have better sleep and more energy, and I've lost an incredible 7 pounds! She told me things like adding lemon to your water early in the morning will help me digest food better all day. I started doing that the next day and I really feel that it works! I took three pages of notes while she spoke, and I've followed all her instructions. She is very knowledgable, easy to talk to, and will answer all your follow up questions that you don't think of in the moment. Well worth every penny and more. Thank you, Dr. Sarah!

Dr. Sarah was very passionate about figuring out what the best nutritional options for you were based on your goals. She was extremely professional on all of our coaching calls and used the time we had efficiently. Her weekly nutritional plans were filled with variety and are such a helpful guide to eating healthy but not getting bored with doing the same things every day. I really started to notice a weight loss after the first week, and by the end of the 4 weeks I had gone under a certain weight that I have not been under in over 3 years! I am keeping up a balanced lifestyle change and loving that I am not gaining the weight back if I go on vacation or naturally just have a bad week. Thanks Dr. Sarah for helping me hit my goals.     Offers: -I offer free 15 minute consultation calls (please sign up on my website) to answer any quick questions that you have about your current issues and provide more insight into what you can do that will help you the most. -Consultation for diet assessment and personalized nutritional guidance This includes: - Analysis of a 3 Day Food and Lifestyle Journal to give you information on what to avoid as well as add in to your diet and lifestyle. -Review of any recent lab work. - 30 minute phone call to go over necessary changes including what to avoid and what to add in to achieve your goals. -I offer lifetime access to online portal meal plans for 4 weeks that include: -5 options for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and beverages -Lifestyle routine changes -Supplement guidance -Stress relief information It is a holistic and comprehensive approach. -I offer coaching programs for 4, 6, 8, and 12 weeks that also include: -Weekly personalized meal plans -Weekly 30 minute coaching calls that include the areas of sleep, stress, hydration, nutrition, and movement/exercise to create an attainable and holistic lifestyle plan for you. -The weekly calls add more support, education, and accountability to the programs.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    I first gain information from you about what you are struggling with and your goals either through our initial conversation on Thumbtack or a consultation call. During this initial conversation, I learn about your food and diet preferences and what other lifestyle changes you may need help with including but not limited to movement/exercise, stress/stress relief, sleep, and lifestyle routine. With that in mind, we discuss whether weekly meal plans or 1:1 coaching would be the best fit for you and your needs. When you sign up for the program, I send you a 3 Day Food and Lifestyle Journal as well as a Core Food Plan that allows you to let me know more about your food preferences. After receiving those, I create your customized meal plan and if we are doing 1:1 coaching, we set up our first coaching call!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I have a bachelors degree in Psychology from Kenyon College. This is directly related to human habit formation and behavior changes. I also have a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine that allows me to understand the biochemical mechanisms of the human body and nutrition. I have further training in nutrition through the Institute for Functional Medicine specializing in thyroid and gastrointestinal health- both of which are key to overall health and weight loss.
