I sent Charlie pictures of trash/debris I needed hauled from my yard and he gave me an estimate. He came over to the house and found that the trash I needed hauling was more than it appeared -- and that was a fair assessment. He was willing to work with me and we reached an agreement. After all that his crew got attacked by a family of huge rats in my backyard. He laughed it off! His crew did everything I asked. Job well done.
Anthony was super communicative, showed up when he said he would (actually 15 mins early!) and even helped me put some trash in bags. Highly recommended!
Wonderful experience. Came quicker than expected to do the job and also educated me on proper use of the garbage disposal. will definitely recommend.
Mr. Green was hired to load, haul and dispose of roughly 2 tons of granite and concrete stones and rubble from a demo'd firepit. I picked his company because he was the most responsive and had the most reasonable price among his competitors. Mr. Green showed up personally to handle the job in a marked company truck and wearing appropriate clothing. He had a sunny disposition, took very few breaks and got the job done quickly. He also brought his own tools for the job and seemed very knowledgeable. He left the work site very clean and exceeded my expectations in every way.
I hired Mr. Leatherwood to haul away approximately a load and a half of yard waste. The yard waste was completely removed in a timely manner and at a very reasonable price. I am very pleased with the service and professionalism of Mr. Leatherwood and plan to use his company for future trash removal service.
The garbage disposal would not work. Walter and David were on time, courteous and professional. Will definitely use them again in the future.
We really appreciated Leon taking our large item disposal on extremely short notice! He was efficient, helpful, and very nice. We recommend his service wholeheartedly!
This company deserves overall a Zero! I hired them to help me move my 1 bedroom apartment from MD to DC. I should have cancelled it from the very beginning when they wanted to charge me extra money for using my credit card vs cash!!?? Moving day: The time for arrival was set for 4 pm. The owner kept on postponing the arrival time with various stories why they were being late. I told them we needed to be at my building by 8pm as that was the end of the moving in time window and the building loading dock was closing at that time. I send several texts and tried calling multiple times to the company. They arrived close to 7 pm. WE arrived at my building late. I had to waste my time looking for a security guard who was kind enough to cooperate with us and let us use another loading dock which was a real hike to my entrance ( another extra hour wasted) . My plants were broken and I feared other items did too. And I was right. I demanded discount for the service and to be also reimbursed for the broken items. we negotiated discount and as I was tired and frustrated i agreed to 15% off. As for the reimbursement, I was told to send them all the photos of broken items and estimated cost. I did. Even after a number of emails and phone calls and almost 2 and a half months after the service, I have not been reimbursed yet. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE
Cesar was prompt, professional and made quick work of my piles of trash that needed to be hauled after my move. I gave relatively short notice for the job but he made himself available the next day and was the only person that contacted me who didn't have an astronomical quote. I even ended up giving more than we originally discussed because I was so impressed. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat!
Mr Stavo Hurtado is very professional and efficient, he installed my garbage disposal in a jiff. I will definitely use him on my next projects, thank you Thumbtack , Great job!!!
Working with Edward was a great experience he was fast and very knowledgeable. He was able to come in and replace my garbage disposal and provide tips on how to make it last. Also as a side note he was able to take a look at my washing machine and clear a clog. Thank you for all your help till the next project.
Did a good job for my clients that needed some trash hauled away when they were selling their home. Very responsive.
Matt was very accommodating. He came in the evening and gave us an estimate, He knows his stuff. He kept the work area clean and hauled away all the trash, He did an excellent job! He worked everyday till the job was done which we really appreciated!
They did an incredible job of cleaning up my yard and hauling away the trash. I am really impressed.
We had some construction debris, yard waste and some old outdoor furniture that needed to be removed. Johnny responded right away with a reasonable price. We set up a time and he arrived promptly and had everything loaded within a few minutes. He even swept the area up after loading all the debris! I would certainly recommend his company and hire him for future jobs.
Adrian and his team were extremely professional and helpful with my move! He quoted me the best price around. Will be referring many movers to him!
Over the last 10 months of a never ending kitchen restoration, my DH and I have interacted with many contractors, vendors and repair people. Some of those experiences have been so God awful that I just wanted to go sit in the corner of a room and stare off into space from the shock. Not in this case. Our yard became a wasteland of debris and horrifying garbage after 1. storing our kitchen goods and wares outside in a tent. 2. The workers we had redoing our kitchen were constantly throwing their supplies/trash/detritus outside. 3. A rainy, mild winter resulted in many sopping wet pieces of cardboard, tarps, etc. 4. The final kicker was the last Winter snowstorm a few weeks back. Lost a lot of supplies and belongings to melting snow that turned into pure ice and than ruined things in the melt. So this was not an easy, nice or organized job to do. Basically our yard looked liked a ruined base camp after a Mount Everest collapse combined with a post apocalyptic backdrop for a Zombie movie. That was before the Junk Unlimited crew showed up today. I only give high praise once in a blue moon. It is well deserved here. Fast, super polite and very organized work. Something that could have been fraught with stress, was actually a happy experience. Very reasonable rates too. It is so nice to find total professionals who do a job well and leave people smiling when they're done. I would give 10 stars if I could.
I am very happy with my privacy fence. I accepted the offer on a Sunday and the job was completed that Monday! Work was fast & good. Still, I must do my due diligence and write a honest review. First I'd like to say Luis was gracious enough to cut down and haul away four 10ft skinny junk trees at no cost. This was a good compromise because he ended up changing the quoted cost of the job by several hundred dollars more, which made me unhappy because I felt a bit boxed in to move forward since he had already started. However, I am happy to say, his changed price was still the lowest of my 3 quotes. I think the fence looks very nice and is exactly what I wanted (with the exception of the jagged edge). For that, I plan to get some white duck tape and tape off the jagged edge. Again, I am happy with the finished project and plan to hire them to do some driveway enhancements for me.
I had shoulder surgery in January and completed therapy two weeks ago. Needless to say my front and back yards were horrendous. Tall grass, weeds, overgrown branches. I thought I could take care of it, but I was wrong. I couldn't find anyone in my neighborhood who could do the job, so I used Thumbtack to help me find someone. They referred Ken Kirby. What a find! I contacted him Tuesday. He was very polite and gave me a great price. Ken was able to come to my house the next day. I arrived home to a mowed front yard, bushes neatly trimmed, overgrown leaves removed while the back yard was also mowed, weeds removed leaving a clean back deck and overgrown branches cut down. Ken removed everything! There were no trash bags waiting for me when I got home. And even more amazing, even though Ken is allergic to poison ivy, he removed the poison ivy that had taken over my front stoop! I will definitely use Ken again and plan on spreading the word about his great service and reasonable prices.
I don't write many reviews, but I wanted to go out of my way to make sure to to write a detailed one for Yosif and Smart House Remodeling. I think I am uniquely qualified to give a very thorough review, as I hired Yosif and his team to do a basement renovation covering over 1,400 square feet. This was a big job, and below you can see some of the before and after photos from a few of the rooms. I'm a pretty particular client; I'm an engineer and pay attention to the details and quality of work that I get done and was very pleased with the outcome on this. I hired Yosif after getting approximately 8 (!) different bids for this job. So that shows you what he was up against. I think the typical experience with working with Yosif is likely as follows: you have him out for an estimate, he has some good ideas about the work that you may have not considered, he gives you a prompt estimate with very reasonable prices, and then you hire him to start the job. Once work is well underway, you realize you've got something really great going and then start creating new contracts to do all kinds of additional work with him--work that perhaps you've put off because you dreaded having to go through finding a quality contractor for each additional project. In my case, I started off with vinyl plank flooring over 1400 sq. feet (spot-leveling & demo needed), with some switch relocation and other electrical work (outlet additions, ceiling box), recessed lighting installation, and HVAC vent installations. By the end I had added significant drywall patching (including closing holes in attic), replacing a huge wood paneled room with all-new drywall, installed an attic ladder, replaced a rear door (including new framing & storm door install), repaired a front door, had a custom divider wall built to hide an HVAC unit, had soundproofing insulation put in, multiple in-wall access panels, minor plumbing, and I could honestly go on. I got an amazing amount done beyond what I originally though was possible for my budget. Yosif is careful to make sure that you are OK with the finished product on each phase of the work that is being done, and is willing to redo things that are not quite right. Each job is properly finished too, with the small things like priming on drywall (plenty skip this!), clean up, and material disposal. I found him very trustworthy as well and had no issue with him doing work at my home regardless of whether I was there or not, yet he was also respectful of my schedule. I would also consider him skilled at a very broad range of construction areas/topics, which if you've hired a number of contractors before you probably know that is not always the case. Although I do want to note that I found his drywall work especially good. I don't think many people would assume that he has 10+ years of experience, but it shows in what he is capable of an his approach to solving the problems that you encounter (and you will always find something interesting when you start opening up walls!). In short, I would gladly recommend him without any reservations.
I hired Victor to remove some trash items from my home. He was great to work with, flexible and responsive. I highly recommend him!
