A graduate of Rice University's Shepherd School of Music, Samuel Thompson is a nationally recognized soloist, chamber musician, orchestral musician and interdisciplinary collaborator.
Additionally, Mr. Thompson is an experienced educator, having taught for over twenty years in capacities ranging from group lessons, private instruction and chamber music coaching to students ranging from beginners to advanced high school
students, university and conservatory undergraduates and adult amateurs.
In May 2017, Mr. Thompson traveled to Havana, Cuba, where he gave master classes in conjunction with ISA-Universidad de las Artes and the Lyceum Mozartiana de la Habana, and also served as an adjudicator for the Northern Virginia District Ten Solo and Ensemble Festival.
