We are growing for you.
At Commonwealth Lawn Care Services, quality has created opportunity. Our company has experienced wonderful growth. Most of this growth has come from people like you who have referred their friends and neighbors to us.
Our local areas of service include the following:
* Richmond, VA and surrounding counties
* Fredericksburg, VA
* Northern VA (Prince William, Fairfax, and Loudoun County)
Here is a service description of each:
* Hedge Trimming
We can trim your shrubs to maintain size or shape, which promotes flowering and growth. If your hedge has not been trimmed at the end of last year's growing season, I highly recommend you have it trimmed as soon as possible before the growing season starts. This will allow your hedge to become thicker and healthier all summer long! Our hourly rate is $35.00 per man/hour. If a ladder is needed for above average hedges, the hourly rate is $45.00 per man/hour.
* Aeration and Seeding
Our techs begin by using a core aerator. A core aerator has small cutting cups on a roller that removes cores of soil about one inch length, and then deposits them on the top soil. This opens up the compacted soil, allowing air, water and fertilizer to freely flow to the grass roots. Once this process is complete, we use eight lbs of seed for every 1000 square feet. We then use fertilizer that promotes the growth of the seed.
* Mowing and Weed eating
Unless requested otherwise, your lawn will be cut at a height of three inches in length. This creates a natural barrier against weeds and other unwanted vegetation. When mowing a lawn, always remember that taller blades of grass helps promote longer root growth and shades out weeds. We then complete the look of your yard by weed eating those hard-to-reach areas. Our grass cutting estimates vary according to the size of the property. Call today for your free quote.
Give your flower beds what they deserve; your plants and trees will thank you for it. Mulch helps protect your plants from drying out too quickly and keeps your plant roots cooler in the hot summers. Using mulch also inhibits weed germination and growth, which give you a healthy looking landscape. We charge $50.00 per yard of mulch. If edging is requested or needed, an additional $35.00 an hour will be included in the estimate.
* Leaf Removal
Are you tired of all those leaves in your yard? Our lawn care techs have what it takes to remove the leaves from your turf and bed areas. We will place the leaves at your curb for city/county pick up or if wanted/needed, we will remove the leaves from the property. Leaf removal estimates are given at an hourly rate of $35.00 an hour for one tech. If a second is needed or requested, a second tech will have an hourly rate of $30.00. If you are in need of having your lawn done in a hurry, a second tech would be very helpful, if you have a larger property.
* Gutter Cleaning
Gutters and downspouts frequently fill with leaves and other materials, especially in the autumn. Cleaning your gutter system is not only a hassle, but it can also be a bit dangerous! However, cleaning your gutters and downspouts is a very important part of keeping your gutter system functioning properly. If you don't clean them, not only will they clog, but also the gutters can actually start pulling away and eventually fall off of your house, not to mention the damage that clogged gutters cause when water flows over the top of them! It is important to effectively clean the gutters, not only for the integrity of your roof, but also to maintain adequate water drainage.
Estimates will vary according to several factors which include the linear feet of the entire gutter system. Another factor is how many floors the residence has. Houses with a third floor, most likely will require a forty-foot ladder, which a second person will be required for the job.
Please note that an additional charge of $1.50 per foot will be added for removal of any gutter guards, screens or covers of any type.
Additional services include:
* Gutter Guards
Gutter cleaning is a dangerous task! Stop cleaning, and let our gutter protection systems do the work for you. With today's most updated gutter guards, leaf protection can be made simple.
* Bug Barrier
Bug barrier protects against ants, millipedes, centipedes, cockroaches and a variety of crickets and spiders that may invade your home. Commonwealth Lawn Care Services are aimed at ridding the perimeter of your house of all sorts of bugs, including ants, crickets, spiders and various multi-legged pests. Our pest control services reduce bugs from your home's exterior and foundation. Our perimeter pest control program will build a protection barrier with treatment of your home's foundation and edges. Even if you don't know what the creepy-crawlies are exactly, our lawn pest control services will help decrease them and make sure they do not come back. Our bug barrier program is $60.00.
* Flea/Tick Control
Are you tired of those itching red bites? If you are worried about lime disease, we can stop them in their tracks with our flea and tick control program. We spray your yard with a commercial outdoor flea and tick spray. Our tech will spray the pesticide around the perimeter of your home and in the areas that your pet frequents most. Please allow the pesticide to soak in and dry completely before allowing your pets back into the yard to keep them from coming in contact with wet chemicals and possibly becoming ill. Our flea/tick control program is $60.00.
