FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
So I do not like to give pricing on the spot because I’m usually a bit nervous and I like to do my research, tool and material gathering prior to starting the job. Once I give an estimate, it may seem high but if the work doesn’t require as much time or material as planned I am willing to lower my price to accommodate. Military and first responders always have a discount because you protect us daily and veterans you did your duty and are to be taken care of as well.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to be upfront and honest and if I can help you save money by getting material for your job someplace cheaper I will. I either charge by the hour or one quote depending on job size. Seeing the job in person and being able to take it in, write it down and plan ahead is my best approach.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Was a tank mechanic in the Army, generator mechanic, electrical union, 20 years of general carpentry and construction.
