With 20 years of experience playing guitar and studying music theory, I bring both technical skill and musical insight to every lesson and performance. I have trained in multiple styles, from rock, jazz fusions, pop, contemporary, and classical environments allowing me to tailor lessons to each student’s goals and interests. In addition to guitar, I have experience with and studied, bass guitar, piano, drum kit, and other orchestral instruments. I attended McNally Smith College of Music in Minneapolis for music composition and was accepted into Berklee College of Music in Boston, further honing my understanding of music theory and creative expression. I am currently an airline pilot and instructor teaching jet aircraft systems/procedures, bringing a disciplined, structured approach to all my instruction while keeping it engaging and accessible. I have been taking guitar lesson from Edward for about five months and have had a wonderful experience. His approach to teaching really pushes me but at the same time he is very supportive. I have come to really enjoy my weekly lessons, which I attribute to Edward's love for music and enthusiasm for his students. Edward is always on time and he is very flexible as he knows most of his students have other life commitments and may have to change their schedule, or cancel a lesson from time to time. I plan to continue with Edward for as long as he's teaching, and I strongly recommend him to anyone interested in learning to play music and, maybe more importantly, to enjoy the journey.
