Introduction: I am an educator and counselor. I have been in education for 16 years. My average pass rate on the SOL is between 85-90%. I have taught grades kindergarten, first, second, third and fourth. My resources are plentiful. It brings me great joy to help develop young minds.

I had the pleasure of working directly with Latarisa on several projects to create a platform where children from all walks of life could come together in a safe, positive environment to discuss life lessons, challenges they are faced with, goals and the importance of being who they are. Latarisa had great enthusiasm with the projects and was very creative in teaching her audience how to deal with all situations in a more positive way. Not only did she do a fabulous job teaching and working with the children, but she also taught other colleagues how to foster more positive outcomes in their own lives. Over the years, I watched her interpersonal skills quickly create and successfully cultivate collaborative team environments among children as well as adults. Even in the proverbial heat of trials and tribulations faced when bringing any group of people together, Latarisa not throw the towel in and quit, she pressed on and continued with a positive attitude. On numerous occasions, I witnessed her table her own timelines and duties to assist other colleagues. Latarisa's exemplify the characteristics of both a team leader and team player and would gladly welcome the opportunity to work with her again in any capacity.

Mrs. Beamon is an awesome teacher and counselor. She works with tge students in a calming manner and sincerely wants tht children to learn and achieve. She encourages students to be and do beyond their best.

I have been a colleague of Mrs. Beamon for over 10 years. She is professional and passionate about educating youth. In the classroom her energy and excitement for the subject matter overflows to the students. Mrs. Beamon has a gift for understanding a child's best learning style and can tailor her instruction to meet their needs. Additionally, her counseling background plays into her comprehensive delivery.
I have used several of her resources and best practices for my own children and as a result they are strong readers and understand the importance of perseverance in education.
