- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of jobs we do for our clients are recording and mixing. We also arrange show CDs, mixtapes, and demos. We also do basic video editing! Last but definitely not least, we offer basic mastering services where we go in and fine tune your song(s), including eq'ing the vocals and the music separately, and then the overall track, including optimizing volume levels through various compression methods. We make your song stand out against the competition so when it is heard on the radio, or at a show, people know you didn't record in a bathroom!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice to anyone looking to find a good place to have their music recorded and mixed is to make sure that the engineer loves what they are doing! Make sure the microphone is good quality and the recording environment is comfortable! Also make sure the engineer knows the importance of a good mix, as it could be the difference between if an A&R listens to your song or not! Lastly, make sure the engineer explains what and why he is doing what he is doing while recording and if you get an opportunity to sit in on the mix, please take advantage of it, as you will learn some things that will enhance your delivery and overall song output!!!
