Introduction: Hello, I'm Ian. I'm a photographer in Richmond, VA that specializes in wedding documentary. I have a variety of packages available to suit all budgets. I've been making photographs for almost my entire life; my dad started me out on a field view camera over twenty years ago! I've been shooting weddings for four years now, mostly in Virginia, but up and down the east coast as well, with one international destination under my belt. My favorite part of wedding photography is telling a story with images. I've been shooting editorial and documentary for RVA Magazine, the Times-Dispatch, and other media outlets for years, and I love applying this experience and skill set to weddings. I've also been shooting in studio for a good bit now, after learning from several master photographers while working for Dementi Studios (Richmond's oldest photography studio) for a little over a year. My clients have a lot of great things to say about my photography, but the one thing I hear the most is how great it is to have become friends. It's very hard, or perhaps impossible, to photograph a subject who isn't comfortable. I consider ability to build rapport with my clients - and therefore photograph them at ease - the most important tool that I have. Of course, my selection of fantastic lenses for every situation don't hurt!
