- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Schedule a free consultation where we discuss all details and I offer few concepts according to my customer's requirements. 2. Floral budget calculation and sending the final quote to the client after the concept has been approved. 3. Second meeting for mock up, final changes approval, 50% downpayment processing. 4. Flowers and materials order from my wholesales vendors. 5. Another 50% of payment processing (typically a 3-7 days before the event) 6. Processing the flowers, creating arrangements 1-2 days before the event. 7. Onsite Delivery on the event day, arrangements and decorations set up.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've started doing flowers about 5 years ago from the small projects for friends and coworkers. Then I took Floral Design course in Norfolk Botanical Garden. Since then I've been a freelance florist, working on weddings, events and catering floral arrangements and gift baskets for holidays at the local malls.
