Introduction

If you are looking for professional, customized, private lessons for piano (any level and any genre), or beginner-to-intermediate guitar, I have 25+ years of teaching experience and knowledge to guide you toward your learning goals. I have taught over 1000 students :) Currently in my studio, student ages range from 4 to 84! So don't let your age stop you from trying! I prefer teaching in-person, but remote video lessons are offered as well. Although learning any new skill takes effort, there should be some fun in it as a reward for all of your labor. That's where lesson customization comes in. I use a standard teaching method for the basics of theory and technique, but if you love jazz, or funk, or classical, or R&B, or whatever (doesn't matter), then I like to supplement the lessons with the music you really enjoy. Ms Lennon has a gift for putting the student at ease. She clearly cares about her student's progress. Her explanations are insightful and most helpful. It has been a wonderful experience learning under her direction, and I look forward to each lesson. Her musical skills are exemplary. I only wish I had started with her much sooner.

Crystal is amazing!!! I had ZERO experience and she was able to teach me how to play a song on the piano so that I could play it and propose to my now fiancee. She was extremely patient, positive and encouraging and just overall such a joy to work with.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is determined by lesson frequency. There are monthly flat-rate fees, and specific costs of individual lessons. MFRF $135 will cover weekly, 30-min lessons, regardless of the number of weeks in the month; MFRF $200 will cover weekly, 45-min lessons; MFRF $270 will cover weekly, 60-min lessons. Individual lessons: 30-min lessons = $40 45-min lessons = $55 60-min lessons = $70
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first lesson is always free. I can assess the level and goals of the student, and we can determine if we are a good fit for each other before we move forward.
