Jace did an amazing job building and drywalling a basement storage and utility coverage wall/closet. He is friendly and works efficiently. I would definitely recommend Jace for home repair an projects. He communicated clearly about the costs and provided receipts. I will be hiring him for more projects in the future.

We've used Jace at Steck Home Repairs a number of times over the past year for a variety of jobs, including: interior trim work, drywall repair, painting, tile work, brick and mortar repair, outdoor planter installation, and installation of door and window hardware. In all of our experiences with Jace, he's been prompt, polite, trustworthy and professional--he's just so easy to work with. We've been very happy with all of the work Jace has done and will definitely use Speck Home Repair for future home repair needs.

Jace came to my home and installed a stairway and handrail from a sliding glass door down to the ground outside. He was upfront about the price, worked hard, and provided quality workmanship, even though it was a smaller project. His communication was thorough and clear. Jace was very easy to work with and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I started, while in high school, for someone who had, at one point over 40 rentals, both apartments and houses. I was responsible for fixing, maintaining and keeping the grass cut, as well as preparing them for the new tenets. I learned a lot of skills in home repair and good people skills. Later, I worked for a couple of contractors, as well as in commercial construction. In addition, I've done side work, throughout the years.
