Introduction: My name is Angie and I am a native Spanish speaker from Colombia, a business administrator and Spanish teacher in my home country.  I have been teaching since 2018 with exchange students from the United States and Canada who were studying at my university. I've been living in The united states since July 2021 and I've been a Spanish teacher since then, I offer a language program to all those people who want to improve their Spanish skills so can have a better communication with their family, friends, co- workers, roommates, etc. Also, I have special programs to for medical professionals: nurses, doctors, specialists. So they can be able to have a conversation with their Spanish speakers patients.   I can teach in groups and individually with my current location being in Seattle, WA. I can teach in person locally or through digital platforms such as zoom, meet or WhatsApp for non-local people.   The way I teach Spanish is informative and fun with theory and practice at the same time. I work according to the student's needs, if they want to learn Spanish to travel, work, study, etc. I'm offering free trials so we can get to know each other and make sure we feel comfortable.   Regarding the study material, I offer two options: the first is that I send the necessary material for each class (books, texts, etc.) Or I can work with the book that the student wants. My schedule is quite flexible. I work in the mornings, afternoons, or evenings during the week and on the weekends. I work according to the time available to my students. I know how it is to start learning a new language and I know how difficult it can be, but with patience and dedication you will excel in Spanish!

My two children (ages 10 and 5) have been taking Spanish lessons with Miss Angie. They absolutely adore her. She makes sure to incorporate different learning techniques for each child considering their is an age gap and provides great tools/homework to use at home that helps them with repetition. She also does her best to accommodate with our schedule. If I could give her ten stars I would!

Angie is very patient and sweet. She allows me to learn at my pace and ask any questions I need. I wanted to learn Spanish from a native speaker so I knew that I was speaking correctly. I have only had a few lessons so far but have learned so much and I’m excited to continue learning with Angie!

I am so glad to have found Angie. She was very fast to respond and I instantly felt comfortable upon taking to her. I am enjoying my Spanish tutoring! She is easy to follow and very clear with explanations. I can’t wait to become fluent. I’m confident Angie will get me there. Her schedule is flexible and her prices are reasonable.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I work according to the client's needs, according to the hours I can also offer a rate or discount.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

The new client tell me if it is the first time that they have taken Spanish classes or had already taken classes, in order to start making a study plan that satisfies their learning expectations.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

When I was studying at the university, I volunteered with a group of exchange students from the United States and Canada, I taught them Spanish for a year and I still do it. I am still in contact with some of them who have already returned to their country and I continue to support them with speaking through zoom. Currently I am teaching Spanish to some people who are interested in traveling to Latin America and want to have fluent conversations with natives.
