I just moved from Ballard to Magnolia in Seattle, not exactly a long distance move, but no less stressful than moving across the country. I needed to move on pretty short notice and People Movers accommodated my schedule. I've never had a more positive experience with a moving company! They showed up on time and went to work. Dmitry, Max, and Joe moved me; they took very good care of my property and did not even break one glass. They did a great job of dismantling what needed to come apart and reassembled it later. They assured me that they would not leave until I was completely set up the way I wanted to be, and I have a 3 story townhouse. This was a refreshing change for me, as my moving experiences in the past tended to be very stressful. I highly recommend People Movers.

Great communication, and we got three personable and capable movers. They called ahead, showed up on time in the right sized truck with the right materials, clean and in good shape. We were only moving our large furniture about a mile, but they hustled non-stop and were done in 2 hours and 45 minutes, and we had a washer and dryer and an upright piano in the mix, with the appliances on the second floor. No unexpected damage to either property or our stuff (minor nicks and dings, but we move a lot, and you're going to have that with heavy, bulky items in tight spaces). We had things ready; washer bolts in, drawers out of dressers, cushions off the couch. They were careful with hardware and glass when they disassembled items and put everything back together before they left. We'd use these guys again.

My crew did a great job moving my one bedroom apartment! Especially considering the 4 flights of stairs at the new place! I paid about $10 more than the estimate but only because I used a credit card which adds $10 to the hourly rate. If I had paid cash I would have paid about $40 LESS than the estimate. The 3 men were efficient and friendly (although they spoke little English, mostly Russian). They asked where I wanted furniture placed and did everything I asked with a smile and “Yes, ma’m.” Being a single, young female I am always nervous to hire people to help me but I felt safe with my crew and was happy with how they treated my belongings. Not a single thing was broken or damaged, and they took apart my bed and carefully wrapped my dresser and mattress. I would definitely use this company again!

I had a good experience with People Movers. They called me on time and as soon as they came they had things moving to the truck. I had a problem with the couch that did not come through the door, they tried hard but later they accepted to get it in through the back door through the bushes. Finally we got all in and had done a successful move! Thanks guys.

First off, plan early. Seems like everything went really smoothly from quote, to getting the day and time I wanted, to actual moving day. I requested the basic package, two guys and a truck! They showed up when they were supposed to and as soon as they arrived they got to work. It probably didn't hurt that they have moved people from my building previously and knew the lay of the land. I pre-packed everything so all they had to do was use the hand truck to grab all the boxes. They did an extremely good job wrapping all the furniture in plastic wrap and then moving blankets. No complaints what so ever! I expected 3 hours and it took them 3 1/2 hrs. I would use again and recommend.
