Very friendly. Explained in detail what he was doing every step of the way. Kept running into some technical difficulties at the house but never got flustered. Didn't charge me extra based on time. Jarrod mounted my television. Mounted my surround speakers on to the wall and concealed all the wiring. Also assembled an AV rack. Very reasonable pricing. I would definitely call him for other jobs and would recommend him without hesitation.
Eric is the consummate professional. He installed my 3 flat screens TVS with 1 day notice, worked with the cable installer to get all peripherals in the right location, and was VERY reasonably priced. He is my handy man who will be called for several more projects. Call Eric today!
Needed a 7.1 surround sound system installed combined with a few TVs mounted. There is a reason this man is, rightfully, referred to as Flatscreenguru. He knows his stuff and offers great value!
Ryan is awesome! We hired AVI solutions to setup and mount the televisions in our home, route the wiring for a clean/finished look, and install surround sound. He was professional, kind and courteous, as well as an extremely hard worker. We already have future projects lined up for him. We would recommend AVI Solutions to anyone. The Sandersons, Olympia
Comcast had installed the new X1 box and completely messed up our surround sound. Tyler came in fixed it within a few minutes. I would highly recommend him.
Chris has completed a number of electrical projects for us over the past several years. But it's the most recent project that is most note-worthy. Our oven of 20 years went kaput on us a couple months ago. I called in a repairman recommended by the oven company. He told us (and I believed him) that it was too old, it would be impossible to get replacement parts. After agonizing a few more weeks about needing to buy a whole new unit AND have our cabinets redone to fit, it dawned on me that we knew someone who might know better! I was right. After minimal investigation, Chris determined which part was needed, ordered it online, and now our oven is working better than when we purchased the home 4 years ago. It's this kind of problem-solving ability that has us returning to Chris again and again!
I found Sergio through Thumbtack after struggling to find any handyman services that weren't booked out weeks/months in advance and actually responded to me. I emailed Sergio from the website to initiate the process and from our initial email we began communicating via text message. Sergio came out on a Monday to provide a quote for significant yard work. The yard work included removing tons of overgrown and invasive plants on my grandmother-in-law's Kingston property (think blackberries et al) and removal of some random junk on the property, as well as cutting down of bamboo (grandma's property has a creek running through it and there's more bamboo than the fertile lands of Asia). Sergio reviewed everything we wanted done and quoted it would take about 40 hours with 3 guys to process the work and removal of everything we wanted done. The rate is $25 per hr per worker so the estimate worked out to about 3k. Of course, I'm always expecting unexpected things to come up and I have zero experience hiring someone to do significant yard work like this. Sergio and I agreed to the work via text after receiving the quote. The next Monday morning he and one of his guys showed up promptly at 8am and began hacking away at junipers and blackberry plants on the property with machetes (what. haha.) I live in Seattle so I wasn't easily able to come out and constantly check on their progress. Sergio had one guy with him on Monday and Tuesday-Thursday he had two guys with him. Initially, we planned on them finishing on Friday but something came up and they promptly came (four guys, actually) on Saturday and finished everything off. The actual cost for (approximately) 40 hours with 3 guys was about $3,300 with about $750 in dump run fees (yeah bringing all those trimmings and leaves sure get expensive at the Kitsap dump, I've done it on my own in the past). And then sales tax for his services a couple hundred. Overall, it was about 4k, which was 1k over budget but seeing as $750 was dump run costs and like $350 was sales tax, it totally met my expectations. Sergio and his crew are polite, fast, friendly, and hard working. I'm pleased that we selected Sergio for our yard work. They did a significant amount of yard waste hacking and removal. My grandmother-in-law is very attached to some of the plants so they were very careful about preserving and protecting specific plants (whichever plants so wanted stayed, and the overgrown invasive plants growing on top of them were removed) and Sergio and his crew were clearly professionals at handling these Pacific Northwestern flora. If you're looking for someone who will work hard for you and be very fair, I would recommend emailing, calling, or texting Sergio to bring him out for a quote. Other projects we are about to have done that Sergio may be involved with and stated he and his crew can do, and will quote separately: -power washing and painting her house -grading, levelling, and filling her drive way with rock -aerating and seeding grass and laying sod -placing pavers to create unprecedented walkways -removal of old fences and installation of new fences So in addition to yard and junk waste removal, as well as professionally manicuring her plants, shrubs, and trees, Sergio and his team can do pretty much anything. Contact him for a quote. I highly recommend. :)
John reviewed the whole house pre wired sound system and determined what hardware equipment I would need to make it all come together. John was very professional and recommended, ordered, and installed all the equipment for the whole house audio system. I am happy that he figured out what no other contractor could.
I had hired Steve to install a 55 inch Samsung UN55C8000 LED TV on a wall mount in a room in my house and conceal the wires within the wall. The job took about an hour and Steve brought another person for help. He cleaned up after the work was completed and he brought a Tilt Mount as well (which was included in the cost of his service). He was courteous and offered to drop by and help if any adjustments were needed in the future with that mount. The only caveat was that the TV was 2 cm slanted to the left which I noticed after he left (measured with a tape from end to end to find it as something felt not right). But that was my mistake as I should have done that when they were there. I have since fixed it myself but would have been very impressed if they had found that and fixed it. Overall, I would hire them for their competitive price but would strongly recommend that you check the work and make sure you are satisfied before they leave as they will be more than happy to help.
We have worked with Chris off and on for years doing various projects for our rental properties and home I live in now. I have had him remodel kitchens, bathrooms, outside work which has included additions, fences, decks, rebuilding my garage, repaving my driveway, building a retaining wall, installing windows, doors, floors, fans, waterproofing, you name it he's done it for me including foreclosed properties. What I really like about this company is the rates are reasonable, hes a great listener and communicator and his wife helps him run the day to day operations with emails and office work so he's not so overworked. I have hired contractors in the past that have came in demoed the job, demand more money or they disappear. Chris has either asked for a deposit and paid as work has progressed, paid hourly and than paid weekly, or what have you. Even if something did interfere with being on that job daily, he always has told me via email or called and he always keeps me updated on how things are going or if there were extra costs involved, we were notified immediately. I think most contractors try to do the work, the estimates, get materials, do the office work by themselves and i think it gets them into trouble not being able to be at three places at once so they do really well. The only complaint i have is he might show up late once in awhile but I know running a company isn't easy, I am self employed as well. I highly recommend him and his company to do remodeling and repairs. Very professional and they fix any work that has been paid for or charged for free. I have never had an issue getting him back out here to fix something that I wanted done differently or organically didn't stay put. I am avaliable for personal referrals.
More Than Audio exceeded our expecations in both service and price. Both Todd and his assistant were polite, professional in appearance, and did a thorough job of cleaning up when the job was finished. They installed a 60" plasma TV and surround sound without leaving a single wire or mark on the walls. Additionally, they saved us a great deal of money by purchasing some of the supplies such as the mount, wires, etc. at their cost. I ended up returning $400 worth of stuff at Best Buy because Todd could beat their prices. Finally, Todd has been great about ensuring that we know how to operate all our equipment by providing written instructions and said we could call anytime if we had questions. I highly recommend this company.
MULTIMEDIA CIRCUITS OFFERED GREAT SERVICE, WERE WILLING TO WORK AROUND BUSINESS HOURS AND WERE VERY FAST AND EFFICIENT. WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE IN NEED OF HOME OR COMMERCIAL THEATER / AUDIO INSTALLATION.
After a little confusion over our initial appointment STuD did a through professional job getting our new TV and sound system up and running and made sure we actually knew how to work it...
I highly recommend Rob at Seattle Light and Sound for your a/v service and troubleshooting needs. He was very prompt in responding to my initial inquiry and scheduling a service call. He was very efficient in diagnosing the problems and cost effective in solving them. He's also a very nice guy!
Nicholas was prompt and professional. He had the right advice that made our home theater better than ever. Quality work and I will use him again.
Project: Turned a bare game room into a fabulous home theater, including all electronic equipment, digital controls, speakers, lighting, fabric screen, trim, woodworking, draperies, painting, etc. Comments: Grant is a professional, an expert. He discussed all options and equipment specs with us, and gave us exactly what we wanted. His artistry and vision made the end product absolutely beautiful. He has remained accessible -- always friendly and willing to answer questions and to make any needed repairs.
Douglas was great. He arrived as planned, installed my printer, down loaded some data, and helped me with several other smaller computer issues I have been having. He is now researching a sound system that is not working, and will be returning to set it up. He was fast, professional and pleasant. Thanks, Douglas!
