FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $5 per visit, per animal within Ephrata and Moses Lake areas. I am willing to travel and charge: $5 per animal + $10.00 an hour for travel and visit.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of my customers leave for weekends. They call me a day or so in advance. But, occasionally there will be an emergency last-minute trip and the client will call me at night and ask me to come over in the morning. A couple of times, I've had clients who were gone for a couple of weeks at a time. Often, if I have cared for a dog who has spent time outside when it has snowed or rained, I have bathed the dog before the customer comes home, so they will be greeted by a clean ball of fur instead of a mud ball. This is a minimal charge and most of my clients really appreciate it - as do the dogs!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Check references. Ask questions. Make sure you can trust the person who will be entering your home and caring for your precious pets. Ask for or provide a written contract stating exactly what services will be performed, how often the home will be visited, what to do and who to contact in an emergency, and what the rates are. Don't leave anything as an assumption. Put it in writing.
