FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
A friend needed a partner for a wedding video business he was starting. I was to be his second cameraperson. After two wedding shoots, I noticed he was not very good at planning and the result were unhappy customers. I really wanted no part of this, as customers beget more customers and I tried explaining this to him. He wasn't very receptive to my ideas so we parted - in good company. I shot a few weddings more after that but really wanted to complete a couple of movie ideas I had and went on to do those. Unfortunately, that didn't pay the bills, so I broadened my horizons with doing other video projects.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Right now, my most common jobs are product tutorials. I've done quite a few and enjoy them because the bring out the 'tech-geekiness' in me. I'm a tech guy and love tearing something apart to see how it works, then document. on video, how the product works, what makes it work and how it can enrich the users lives by using the product. Along with that, I've done quite a few wedding videos and love working with the parties planning them.
