Because a lot of what goes into painting is not the painting. It's the prep.
We pulled down light fixtures, smoke alarms, remove vents, remove switch plates, ect, (and make recommendations for replacement or batteries or bulbs or cleaning...if relevant)

These guys worked very hard and long hours to get the job done--excellent work! It is a very tall ceiling condo that hasn't been updated for over 15 years--it needed it so badly---My place is gorgeous!
They even did extra at the last minute to make sure everything was perfect!

My wife and I have a 1,000 sq. ft. rental condo that was in need of wall repairs and paint due to poor tenants. There was preventable water damage in the master bath, chips and dings on most of the corners of each wall due to moving furniture in and out of the condo, all the lower white trim and white doors were scuffed, scratched, and or punctured. Overall it was in need of some TLC for the next tenants.
Using thumbtack for the first time was a great experience and it saved me a lot of time instead of searching for painters individually. Within 24 hours I had 3 bids and appointments set within that week to look over the condo. I highly recommend it and plan to use it in the future for my next project.
Meeting David and his DYC Painting crew was pleasant and professional. They are a younger team that is family oriented and hard working. A project that would of taken my wife and I probably a good seven days took only 2 days for DYC to complete.
They have competitive pricing and are willing to wheel and deal to earn your business. DYC did all the work and repairs requested plus on schedule as promised. After inspection of their work there were some minor details that my wife and I found but the team easily fixed them right on the spot and made sure we were happy with the work performed and the appearance of the condo.

We couldn’t be happier with the work that David and his family/crew did for us. He was so patient through my 1000s of questions. He and David Sr. always answered “sure no problem” when I made requests, and made me feel comfortable asking. He was incredibly responsive from the first contact through work completion. He accommodated several add ons without hesitation and worked to make sure we were happy with the outcome. I’m pleased to learn they’re skilled at more than painting - we fully intend to contact David for jobs involving dry wall and door replacement in the future.
