Fast, efficient, responsive!!! Amazing guys !! So happy with the final state of my new garden, in which they installed sod.
My grass was bare, gardens needed to be cleaned up and I had rose bushes looking ragged. I left for work and before lunchtime, my entire yard was transformed, into a clean, well-designed beautiful yard.
Precision dropping of tree parts onto my expensively designed garden. They removed and replanted shrubs, moved heavy large planters and then replaced them afterwords. Workers moved all debris to the front yard as requested.
Julio and his team did a great job of cleaning up my rock gardens and saving an apple tree from a neighboring bamboo plant. They aerated the soil and laid down compost prior to completing the job. Before they left they also cleaned up a couple of other areas on my property and made arrangements to come back to complete a task which they discovered while working and did not have the right tools for. They arrived on time and completed the job on time and completely cleaned up before they left. My yard looks fantastic and my apple tree is starting to show signs of recovery! I would not hesitate to hire them again. Great crew - a pleasure to do business with.
We had this company renovate our back yard, new sod, retaining wall, garden beds, fire pit, deck, concrete patio, and small putting green for hubby! Love it ! Amazing craftsmanship!
Amy is truly a professional. She's creative, practical, punctual and very easy to talk to. My husband and I had experience with other designers who were either rude or lacked creativity for our little corner lot in dowtown Puyallup. Amy gave us exactly what we were looking for at a reasonable price. She rocks and I would recommend her to any of my friends or family without hesitation.
My project was quite large consisting of resurfacing a garage roof deck with new railing and steps, removing concrete pathways and replacing with bluestone pavers, designing front porch steps, designing a potting and garden shed, designing a "condo" to camouflage all my garbage and recycling cans, installing an irrigation system, lighting, 2 water features with one also being a water garden, designing and planting garden containers, laying new sod, picking and planting new plant material and relocating and replanting some of my existing plants. I needed a professional landscaper who would walk me through all the design aspects and recommend a hardscape specialist, and ensure all the work being done would be done properly for a quality result. My meeting with Robin Parsons began with a consultation at my house. She made suggestions for plants and design, and after that initial meeting, I knew I had the right designer and didn't bother researching other landscapers. At first I had a bit of "sticker shock" when I began to price out the scope of work for what I wanted done. She helped me understand what each element costs and I had to decide what was important and rethink my budget. And in the end she helped me make the right choices. She listened to all my needs and communicated clearly to what needed to be done, paid close attention to all the details, she came with pictures, ideas and recommendations, and even drove me to retailers specializing in sheds, concrete, and garden containers to help me decide on products. My project is almost completed, and I can already see how beautiful and welcoming my landscape turned out to be. Robin exceeded all my expectations, is a pleasure to work with and I look forward to continually working with her on my future projects of choosing a house color, shutters, and designing my garage driveway.
I had a pretty small job for Noah to do since I think he does mainly large jobs, but he came over, gave me an estimate, and did the work. I had extra gravel put on my two side yards and moving several plants around my front landscaping, including a Japanese maple that was root bound in a pot. He and his partner worked pretty much the whole afternoon and accomplished what I needed. I would recommend them for your small or large jobs.
Jumanji designed a beautiful and easy to maintain garden for my office building in South Lake Union. We needed it done quickly to spruce up the place for a big meeting, and she generously squeezed us in to have it done in time. She is super easy to work with, and her knowledge of and creativity with garden design is superb!

Shannon did a great job on our home. Everything had the right look and our open house was a success! We had 5 offers within the next week on our home after Shannon put everything in place. We are having him do the interior design on our next home!
Connecting with Oliana Gardening was superbly serendipitous. As an interior designer and landlord, my gardens need to be both aesthetic and highly functional, and preferably mostly native. I needed a landscaping establishment that was reliable, trustworthy, knowledgeable about natives, the right price, able to do both maintenance and renovations, and, this was a biggie, artistically trained. Oliana Gardening is meeting all these needs beautifully. Reliable and trustworthy means appointments are kept, communication is good, work gets finished, and my property gets cleaned and locked up as it should be. Being able to trust Oliana Gardening as I do makes my life so much easier. Jumanji really knows her native plants, and helped me figured out a scheme for a sunny front garden that I was failing miserably with on my own. Id spoken to other people about natives before, but they either couldnt imagine an entirely native garden, or were so natives-oriented they seemed to sniff at my aesthetic needs. Jumanji supports my dual and sometimes conflicting requirements. For example, while its stressful on sword ferns to completely cut their old fronds, were compromising with selective trimming. The fact that Jumanji does both installations and maintenance is especially helpful because every act of maintenance from pruning to carefully placing excess leaves in the right spot all leads toward the overall garden vision. Shes not going to damage anything from ignorance or mess up what is working well like my clean gravel drive by getting dirt all over it as one gardener did. More, Jumanji keeps teaching me new things about gardening (like the nuances of pruning redtwig dogwood and serviceberry), which makes the process fun. To me, Jumanjis greatest asset, is that is also an artist. Many companies have great plant knowledge or construction abilities, but their gardens often lack unity or artistry. I absolutely love collaborating with Oliana Gardening as one creative with another. Jumanji understands the creative process, creative angst, and can we move it again? Jumanji also has other equally talented colleagues, so when I wanted a border between my plants and gravel, she brought in an artist friend who can weld. Together they created a beautiful steel border and craftily installed it among carefully placed rocks to make everything look level and balanced (when the ground wasn't). Almost last, Oliana Gardening understands my garden ambitions arent backed by a big budget so existing plants, rocks, leaves etc. have been used to their utmost. To offset costs, well figure out things I can do myself, well work together for a bit (such as when she wrapped my tree with lights and installed some new rocks), or spread work out over several months. My garden has really come together since working with Oliana Gardening, and I look forward to working with Jumanjis company long into the future.
We have worked with Matt for the last two summers, and will tackle the third and final phase of our project this summer, 2016. Matt and his crew installed a stone path with steps down to our back gate, and a stone staircase up a steep slope from our back yard to our front, on the side of our house. The design included planting beds and lighting. MLG selected plantings for the pathway, and made recommendations for future plantings. Matt also built three garden boxes for our yard, out of sturdy and beautiful juniper. We so appreciated Matt working within our budget, and helping us break up our project into workable phases. We are excited to watch as the plantings fill in. This summer will see the design and installation of a new back gate, and more landscaping. It has been a pleasure to work with Matt and his crew. They were timely, worked hard, and cleaned up as they went. Matt was easy to get hold of, and always responsive. A great experience!
We needed two large garden areas tilled up to prep for planting. Troy came out with his rototiller and got the job done in a couple hours. We are extremely happy with the willingness to help us with the project and some of the informative tips he offered as well. We will definitely be in touch in the future to purchase some fruit trees and help with designing an edible garden!
Pleased with our experience with GVA Gardens. George was professional and worked hard to ensure we received total satisfaction. His creativity and knowledge allowed us to receive best bang for our buck by allocating resources to maximize potential.
Lara is a pleasure to work with. She worked closely with us from start to finish and was very quick to respond to all of our questions. She combined our requests and her ideas into a cohesive design for the garden. Her contractors were great and everything got done on time and within budget. Our front and back yards have never looked better! We’re very happy with how everything turned out. Lara made the entire project seem easy and hassle free. I would highly recommend her for your gardening and landscaping projects.

Like what Walt Disney could do, where the story unfolds with a swipe of paint brush, a scenery was shown. So that is how when I meet clients. I hear their wishes and desires. I can walk onto a property, and it unfolds. I can feel and see a design and plan.
We are a full-service landscape company, from design to installation. We are well versed in fences, arbors, rockeries, patios and water features.
I am an expert in landscape and garden design. I change your yard to a new and updated design. You will not regret anything after it is completed.
