We hired Olivia (and continue to hire on a biweekly basis) to do weekly meal prep for us. With a new baby and a need for a change to our diet, not only has Olivia been a god-send, but she has knocked it out of the park with the novel meal requests (plant-based, Plant-paradox aligned). Boy, can this gal cook. What we thought would be healthy but boring meals turned out to not only exceed our expectations, but blow us out of the water with the robust flavor profiles she has incorporated. And we’re (ashamedly) food snobs as well and went through a set of private chefs before landing with her. Not only will we continue to use her for our weekly meal preps but also are figuring out how to weave her into our company’s catered lunches- that’s how impressive she’s been. And to top it off, she’s a stalwart professional- she shows up on the dot, communicates often and is super responsive (ex. texting her at 9 o’clock at night from Trader Joe’s because they don’t have turnips and I need an appropriate substitute). She cleans after herself and has been absolutely a pleasure to work with. I’m torn that I have to share my secret find in a chef with the rest of the world but it would be selfish of me to not. Olivia recently cooked for our wedding of 20 people at our home, and it was incredible! Olivia was quick to respond, professional, punctual, kind and caring. She kept me updated every step of the way. She came up with a menu that was exactly what we wanted. Her food was inventive and exciting. We were looking for a sophisticated elegant multi-course meal (like you would get at a fancy restaurant) but cooked in our home to impress our family and friends and she did just that! Everyone was raving about the food and is still talking about it after. Olivia took care of everything down to the last detail, and was the only part of our wedding that I did not have to stress about. She brought a sous chef, and 2 servers. When they left, my kitchen was clean, all rented dishes were packed and ready to return, and she left me leftovers in the fridge (I had cheesecake for breakfast the next day). - What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Quotes include the following costs unless otherwise discussed: menu planning/consulting, preparing the meal, and delivering or serving the meal. All beverages and disposables are an additional fee based guest count. Preferred that host purchases all alcoholic beverages. A $50 travel fee may be applied depending on distance of event.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?When working with a new customer, I like to start by discussing their vision and expectations for the event. I will also gather information on the clients food preferences and notable allergies. After the vision has been discussed, I will come up with a few custom menu's for the client to review, collaborating to come up with the perfect selection for the occasion or event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a working culinary industry professional as a Product Developer. I am also an alumni of Johnson & Wales University, one of the top culinary arts schools in the United States. I have had extensive experience planning for and catering high-end events, including bridal showers, birthday dinners, and multi-course pop-up meals. Events ranged between 14 to 40 guests.
