- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $30 per half hour lesson, and $55 per hour lesson. I ask to be paid at the beginning of the month for all the scheduled lessons.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For a beginning piano student, I conduct a phone interview with their parent to discuss whether their child is ready to start piano lessons. For a transfer student, I schedule a trial lesson. This allows the student and her family to experience my teaching style, and then students can go home and chat with their family about their preferences.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music through the Music Teachers National Association with 19 years of teaching experience. I hold a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from the University of Washington, and a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Bob Jones University.
