James is a first rate professional and a sweet guy. He painted all of the trim in my house including crown moulding, doors and baseboards (many coats). He also painted the new ceiling in our upper floor. In addition he put a beautiful laquer finish on our custom made clear fir entertainment center (also many coats). We wanted to paint the walls ourselves and James was very helpful with tips and even showed us how to tape for quality results. He worked for us for about a month and usually showed up on time ready to work with a positive attitude. His knowledge of paint and painting techniques is vast and he had lots of valuable tips for us during our project. I will use James again and can recommend him highly and without reservation.

I initially wrote this in reply to James' review of our job. I will post our reply here so you all will know the fantastic job James' did on our project: James Jasper was phenomenal. His work was professional, and was well received by both my wife and our new landlord. James was quite trustworthy, and I made sure that the place would be empty with as little traffic as possible so he could work. Unfortunately, the Comcast guy and the landlord had to visit during the time, but James contacted me to let me know they were there and assured me that they would not get in his way. James took the time to make sure the all of our 8 walls were painted and received a double coat as well. He was actually pretty fast, but not so fast as to sacrifice quality. He stayed until the job was done. I look forward to working with James again, and my wife and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a high quality, professional painter.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
After meeting his future wife in college, James moved to Florida and in 1998 started Jasper Painting where he began painting for high end clients in the Port Royal section of Naples. After several years of constant summer James decided to move back to Washington and enjoy the changing of the seasons. Initially specializing in interior work in Medina and Mercer Island, Jasper Painting has expanded to Seattle and the Greater Eastside areas.
