Introduction: I believe that the poses we practice in yoga are simply practiced to create alignment and balance in your body. Sometimes we get caught up in the desire to be perfect or reach full expression in a pose when really that is never the goal. The goal of yoga is to be able to breathe amid chaos aka challenging poses. Whether that's warrior 1 or headstand all that matters is the breathe, everything else comes with time. Ashley is an amazing yoga instructor! I've taken multiple of her classes from Hatha to Power Vinyasa, and she always puts together new flows that challenge and excite you. No two classes are ever the same. Her classes push you both mentally and physically, and you always leave feeling renewed and centered (and maybe a little sore if you're like me and don't practice as much as you should :). Ashley truly takes the time to focus on you and your practice when you’re in the room, and I know I wouldn’t have even tried many of the more difficult postures if it wasn’t for her encouragement and motivation. I highly recommend taking any of her classes and seeing for yourself how Ashley can help grow as a yogi and more!

I've taken classes with Ashley at Hot Yoga Inc and Live Love Flow. She's an amazingly talented instructor with a deep understanding of the mind, body, soul connection. Her classes are both challenging and fun, and her energy is contagious. She pays attention to each student and knows exactly how to 'tweak' my posture when I'm doing a pose incorrectly. I appreciate her drive to go above and beyond her normal role, as she's always willing to spend time with me before and after class to answer any questions I may have. I have slight problems with my knees and lower back and she's helped me find alternate poses to avoid further damage and strengthen the surrounding muscles. I would follow Ashley to any studio! She's truly a wonderful human being, full of light and positive energy.

Ashley is the best yoga instructor I've ever practiced with! Her attention to form and education on all aspects of yoga make practice so much more filling, and she always takes the time to work individuals to bring them to the next level on their practice--even in large classes. I've learned more about myself and my practice because of her, and I'd recommend her to any yogi!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    Yes, I take as many workshops and trainings as I can.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    I was athletic growing up, playing many different sports and making it a priority to stay active. Initially I was drawn to power yoga do to its athletic nature, I was able to build strength in my core which helped alleviate the chronic back and neck pain I had from being in several car accidents. Over time I found myself drawn to all different styles of yoga, including hatha and yin in an effort to create balance in my body. When I started practicing yoga I had a stressful career in finance and I learned that yoga could help relieve stress and anxiety through conscious breathing and daily meditation. Although I still loves an intense, challenging yoga class, slowing down for a yin or meditation class is equally as appealing to me. After seeing how much yoga changed my life it became clear that teaching yoga is my life’s purpose.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Find someone who listens to you and who you enjoy spending time with.
