- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I take as many workshops and trainings as I can.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was athletic growing up, playing many different sports and making it a priority to stay active. Initially I was drawn to power yoga do to its athletic nature, I was able to build strength in my core which helped alleviate the chronic back and neck pain I had from being in several car accidents. Over time I found myself drawn to all different styles of yoga, including hatha and yin in an effort to create balance in my body. When I started practicing yoga I had a stressful career in finance and I learned that yoga could help relieve stress and anxiety through conscious breathing and daily meditation. Although I still loves an intense, challenging yoga class, slowing down for a yin or meditation class is equally as appealing to me. After seeing how much yoga changed my life it became clear that teaching yoga is my lifes purpose.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Find someone who listens to you and who you enjoy spending time with.
