Introduction: As the owner/operator, I make sure that the work we do on every project is done as if it were being done to my own home. Remodeling is a form of art that I must ultimately leave behind with my name attached to it. I want to make sure that, first and foremost, the customer is totally satisfied, but also that I am satisfied with what I've accomplished for them. KBM Northwest came to our house and put in new Crown Moulding, a tile backsplash, a porch remodel, and some other miscellanious finish work. I have never met a contractor that was actually more picky with MY HOUSE than I was. He would take the time to massage a piece of material that I was already 100% satisfied with and work it and work it and work it until it was absolutely perfect to him and he didn't charge me a dime for the difference. It was like he had to sign his name to it for generations to see. I've used countless contractors over the years, and I've never seen anything like it. If anyone can find a better contractor to do a better job at a better price then you have found a sasquatch riding a unicorn carrying a bouquet of four leaf clovers because in my experinece that contractor does not exist. Trust me. I've learned the hardway. KBM Northwest is the best.

Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Mike and his team took on my challenging basement that was only a slab of poorly laid concrete, no walls, a structural beam that was actually 12" too short and made it into a very liveable and awesome looking media room/man cave. I've worked in the industry for years and it was obvious to me that KBM Northwest had the know how and experience to do the job and do it right. They're price was well within budget and he was up front and honest with every expense that was not accounted for at the beginning and informed use of the money we save because they over estimated on some of the material. We did the basement in two phased and both times we come in under budget by about $500 -$1000 and this was on top of a very reasonable and fair market valued bid. They help greatly in the final layout of the room. They took into account what the room was going to be used for and made recommendations that we are grateful for now, that the room is in use. We will be calling KBM Northwest back when we decide to do more remodeling around my house.

KBM Northwest is the ONLY company I will trust to do work on my new house. Mike Kennedy is highly skilled, extremely reliable and professional. I have had Mike do several jobs around my house and he will be finishing/remodeling my basement in the next month. His attention to detail and work ethic are unmatched. He is experienced and a pleasure to work with. My house has many upgrades and is beautifully designed with top of the line carpentry and other details. Mike is very careful and treats my house as if it were his own, paying attention to every detail of his work from the smallest to the biggest jobs. I have had unreliable, more expensive and careless workers in the past. As I stated earlier I will never trust another company to do work on my home. KBM Northwest's pricing is very competitive and the quality of service and artistry is unsurpassed. I recommend KBM Northwest's services to anyone, including my friends and family, Sincerely, Deborah Chance

Mike Kennedy did a great job on some roof carpentry we needed before painting our house. He seems knowledgeable about materials.

Mike was a pro on our house project (wall removal and installation of a beam). Completed the work on time and did exactly what was requested. A job well done, thanks Mike! Until next time, Casey

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Because they are so popular here in Seattle, we do many basement conversions each year. It is my favorite project to take on due to the great variety within a single project to include framing, plumbing, electrical, flooring, walls, doors & windows etc. From media rooms to mother-in-law units we can accomplish any conversions.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Check their license information and make sure it is valid. If it is valid, then you know they are bonded and insured as well. Any contractor who does not stay in good communication with you prior to, during and immediately thereafter your project I would be cautious of.
