FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
First visits are $90 -60 min or $120 for 90-120 minutes for most dogs, aggressive dogs are $150 and scheduled for 2 hours. This initial amount is contributed toward a package by recommendation and your choice. My packages are $648 for 6 total visits (10% savings) or $120 per visit a la carte, Aggressive dogs with severe issues are $140 each session first two visits. Two dog packages are available and generally are $150-200 add on per additional dog to a package or $25 a visit. After 3rd dog, I normally do not charge for 4th dog. Packages include access to free group sessions and outings called Pawlishing Groups- when available COVID restraints. I am super generous with my time- and never cut clients off in the middle of a great moment and I don’t charge if we go over time. I am a results based trainer- so important to help you and your dog. I am flexible on times to train and you can space out sessions. Remember most dogs need about 8-12 weeks of consistent training to set in permanent habits and a high degree of reliability. There is no “magic” but we can still have a ton of fun which makes it seem easy! I have a great team and we work together to serve our clients needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I meet, introduce myself to the client and dog. I take 15 minutes or about that to assess. On aggressive dogs, I push a little, find the hot buttons so we can start working. We talk about methods, tools and effectiveness for the individual dog-handler team. This yields a plan and we go from there. I am direct and open, happy to use methods that my clients can be comfortable with as everyone is different. Not all methods work for everyone- we build on the client’s comfort level and experience.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Grew up with a step-dad as a veterinarian. Lots if handling experience in the veterinary field. I attended WSU and did pre-vet- then made a 180 degree change to law enforcement. Got my first German Shepherd ( a real challenging boy) at 21 yrs old. Was hooked on working dogs and participated in helping quarry and work patrol dogs. I am intrigued and building experience in tracking, scent work in my spare moments. Love books on this topic! Dogs are real geniuses- we have so much to learn!
