I started dancing at the studio 3 months ago. In one month, I was at my first competition with no previous dance lessons. Now people ask me how long I have been dancing and are really surprised I haven't been dancing longer. Natasha and Wes make otherwise difficult steps easy to learn in a fun and relaxing atmosphere.
I have taken line dance, country, hustle, and some ballroom lessons from Jeannette for about 4 years. I followed her from different venues and now go her own Studio-B. You will find yourself getting instruction from one of the best dance instructors in the Seattle area. The classes are always fun and Jeannette will give you individual attention when needed. I highly recommend Studio-B for anyone wanting to learn line dance, country dance, or ballroom dance at any level whether you are a beginner or experienced. Did I mention it is always fun at Studio-B?
Excellent dance lessons and fun too!
Mari and Jordan choreographed my first dance with my husband for our wedding and provided lessons to learn the dance as well. It was a lovely experience working with them both and provided a safe, low-key environment for us. My husband was pretty self conscious about his dancing, but with Mari and Jordan's help he gained confidence and was able to relax and thoroughly enjoy himself! The availability and flexibility with timing for practices was wonderful and they provided their input while also taking into account the style and level of dance we wanted. I highly recommend working with Mari and Jordan!
Tacoma Dance Studios, has given me the self-confidence to dance freely. Going to each lesson is always a joy because the combinations are different and exciting.
Since I am not a dancer I was skeptical of taking a dance class. Franchesska's classes are great for people who want to be more graceful in their movement as well as get some exercise. Her classes never feel like a workout yet my body is more toned, I have better balance and improved posture. Classes are fun and tailored to suit students abilities and needs.
Vanessa is professional, on time, great personality and is really helping me and my 11 yr old daughter in our own home. She has a workout to match our fitness level, and the right amount of challenge and great encouragement!
As an owner of Studio 6 Ballroom Event Hall & Studios where Alan-Michael teaches, I have had the pleasure to observe & sample his coaching. We have an extremely high standard to pass for teachers to even be considered to teach in our space. On top of that, we only consider instructors that are also coaches and we require continued education and suport them & their students in that. I felt extremely confident in giving him one of my clients and am even more impressed than I thought I would be at her progress! Alan-Michael understands different learning needs and different levels (one of requirements as well). I really enjoy his outlook on dancing, his passion for it, and his excitement to share it. He has done a fabulous job learning other forms so that he can better communicate & relate to all students.
I would love to tell you more about the work I do! Please contact me to discuss how I can help you with your project.

The truth is, most of us teaching noncompetitive partner dancing in the Greater Seattle area are solid teachers and know how to help people learn to dance. My strengths are these: I'm perceptive in private-lesson situations and know what you need in the moment, as well as in the next moment, and the moments after that. And I never forget that what we're doing is "just dance," that is, we're not working to end famine in sub-Saharan Africa or to solve the climate crisis; we're just here to have some fun, pick up a joyful skill, and see what can happen as we move around the floor in the arms of another. I never judge. I never scold. And, because learning to dance can seem scary at first, I'm always working to keep lessons as low-pressure as possible. Because I'm a musician, I'd say my musicality skills -- understanding how to move to different kinds of music -- can demystify the process of learning dance. The very most? That everyone improves. And that I get to be there and see it. Dancing is something everyone gets better doing, as long as they keep doing it kinda regularly. It is a joy to watch people of all ages accomplish something they have long wanted to do, but, for whatever reasons, kept putting off trying.
