FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I use a flat rate pricing system. I have a "per hour" price for events, and a "flat rate" price for unlimited hours for events. Most clients opt for the flat rate price. In fact, the 1 client (a bride) who didn't go for the flat rate wound up giving me another check at her reception because they weren't done partying yet and wanted me to keep playing music.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a vast network of professionals DJs that I keep in touch with from all over the world. We love to show each other new ideas, new equipment, and our own ways of doing stuff and we all learn from each other that way.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Growing up, my parents ran a theater. When they got out of that business, my dad stayed in the sound industry and went to work for another theater. I have been fascinated with sound boards, and sound equipment as long as I can remember and 20 years after getting to run my first board I still love the industry and my job. It all just comes naturally to me.
