Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: Honesty, first and foremost. If I am unable to successfully complete a job assignment then I communicate that with the customer early on and don't waste their time. Also, I make sure to have a good reference to their next person who will be able to handle their situation, Sure its losing money but it just might bring me more business in the future. Second, I perform hardware replacements, custom builds, software, networking, and installs of other types as well. I perform virus removals, data recovery, unlocking systems, and more. I am also willing to tutor a client in the basics of computer literacy. I also run a Help Desk that will allow me to remotely access the client's computer and allow me to complete the task from my desk; saving me time and the client money. Computers and I have always seen eye to eye, so to speak, meaning that I understand them pretty well. I used to teach a CompTIA A+ certification readiness course. I got a kick out the reactions from the clients when I would tell them and then show them what could be done with a computer these days.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When you contact a technician be sure to get all fees, costs, and prices covered prior to requesting a field call, shop around for an honest technician not for the cheapest. Remember, quality is the aim. Try to keep in mind that these technicians paid for an education to be qualified to service your equipment when considering the cost. When you receive quality service, post it, it will go a long way to lowering the cost for your next service. Consider hiring a military veteran; they have already proven that they can and will serve.
