My voice lessons have been a lot of fun and quite the learning experience. Bryan has been a blast to work with. His long term experience as a teacher, music producer (and professional drummer!) has been invaluable in getting more than just a "voice lesson", but a true "recording studio experience". The ability to have the lessons in a real studio where recording and instant playback is available is unparalleled. Bryan’s ability to provide you with a “before picture” of one song, compared to that same song a few weeks later speaks VOLUMES toward actually hearing how you’ve improved over time. Also a recording studio allows you the ability to really focus on those key nuances in a certain phrase or word in a song to get it perfect when you can do it over and over and over again until Bryan says it's just right. In the studio setting it is so much more than standing there with an instructor over a piano for an hour and then go home and try to remember what you learned. At The Factory with Bryan you get to have access to the actual recording(s) of your lesson available to you at home when you practice during the week. These offerings makes the fundamental lessons regarding vowel phrasing, breathing techniques, etc. so much more fun. Lastly I love the great mix of fundamental lessons applied directly to some of my favorite songs/artists in a recording studio environment. You’re standing there singing into a screened microphone, with headphones on just like the pros. I mean seriously, how fun is that!?! Just a great experience all around. I'm very happy that I chose Bryan Lash and The Factory for my voice lessons.

I've only been working with him for a monthish now, but I've improved leaps and bounds as a singer as a result. He's fun to work with, easygoing, and is very encouraging and good at pushing students to their fullest potential. Each lesson has been engaging and I've seen such growth in my singing thus far that it's been worth every penny. Finally, the experience provided by being able to sing in an actual recording studio is a boon to anyone who wants to actually go the extra mile and be a singer.

Bryan helped my daughter with a recording for her musical theatre production. Not only was he professional, he was kind and patient with my nervous eleven year old. We have never been to a recording studio and by the time we were finished she didnt't want to leave. We would highly recommend Bryan and will plan to use his services in the future.

We've been working with Ken since September for our 11 year old's electric guitar lessons. We've been pleased with Ken's professionalism, structure and teaching style. Our son has learned a great deal in a short time after being away from lessons for two years and enjoys his lessons a lot. Ken is a great guy to work with and the studio is a nice place for private lessons. We've had the opportunity to meet a few of his other students around my son's lesson times, and it's clear that Ken is able to teach and work with a wide variety of ages and levels. We give Ken our highest recommendation.

Ken was able to create a teaching method designed to teach a visually impaired student. I'm amazed on how simple yet effective his methods are. Lessons were FUN yet productive. I can't emphasize enough the value of having a professional recording studio/engineer/teacher offered through Ken Fordyce and Mirror Sound Studios.

By far the best studio in the Olympia area! My first time there we tested three high quality mic's to see which one fit my voice the best. Very professional, and if you want to work with someone who will push you to your full potential "south sound sound" is the place to be!

I've just begun with Vanessa but she seems perfect for what I am trying to learn. Her interests in the impact of sound vibration and the voice's healing capacities fit my goals to a tee. She is such a warm, gracious person that she overcome my shyness about learning to sing at this stage of my life.

Vanessa is so happy and beautiful and encouraging! Not only does she teach voice, she gets to know you as a person, she helps boost your confidence and you can tell how much she cares. Your voice and confidence improve within the very first lesson! You just keep improving from there!!!

Ken is a maestro at creating great sound. From pop to punk to opera, Ken knows all the tricks to bringing out the best in your music. He is a multi-talented instrumentalist and can improvise terrific guitar or bass tracks to any song. When you need to add more instruments to add that extra magic to your tunes, he brings in top-notch drummers, sax or clarinet players and blends them into a fantastic final mix. When I need a studio for recording, mixing and mastering my songs, I go no further than Mirror Sound. Glenna Burmer, Managing Director, BurmerMusic LLC (www.burmermusic.com), www.glennaburmer.com

Having an engineer that knows music is key to a successful session. Braden greatly exceeded my expectations and convinced me early on that I had made the right choice. He was both honest and helpful. It was a joy being able to describe what I wanted and have him meet each request. The space was perfect. The vibe was on. Anyone looking for an experienced engineer should go with Steady Sound Productions. I will not be searching for another engineer after such a positive experience.

The session went absolutely well. Working with Braden from Steady Sound Production was easy and comfortable. Was able to mix the track right after the recording and likes to stay in contact to assure the satisfaction of the project. Will definitely be working with him again.

Stephen absolutely knows his stuff. If you want to hear an example of the transformative power of mastering by someone like Steve, check out this video www.tinyurl.com/dbar2 This is a song (Dis 'Sup) that made it onto worldwide smooth jazz charts and stayed at #1 in the UK for 17 weeks. It's the evolution of the song (I posted last year for friends) but notice at 2:30 when DBar mastering kicks in. It speaks for itself. Highly recommended.

I've done multiple projects with Steve and they have all been of major label quality. His engineering and mixing has taken my music to crazy levels. He is also the goto guy for anything music. From mixing, engineering, mastering and even music theory, he is the man. We call him Steve Da Brain for a reason. You can't go wrong with a guy who has a degree from MIT.

This is my first time working with Jason and I can't say enough good things about him and his studio. I and my band spent a whole day recording and mixing at Synergy studio and it was nothing but enjoyable experience. Jason is a super talented and professional sound engineer (the guy has 20 years of experience)! He is really easy to work with and pays close attention to details. Jason made sure that everyone was comfortable inrecording sessions and always gave creative/technical inputs when appropriate. His focus was always on making sure that your vision of the song came through the mix. His studio has one of the greatest selections of equipments as well as relaxed, creative environment. At the end we're very pleased with the final mix and the experience of recording the song. I highly recommend Jason and Synergy Productions!

Having spent over 130 days working with Jason Shavey at Synergy Studios over the course of several albums and projects, I can't say enough how valuable it is to find someone who is both extremely talented/competent as well as a joy to work those long hours in the studio. The studio itself is amazing and because I value an analog board and outboard gear, Synergy is ideal for what I want to do with recordings. I find very often Jason and my own sensibilities about sound and recordings meet up incredibly well and that is one of the reasons I continue to rely on Jason and Synergy for my recording needs when there are so many options in the Northwest. I guess the greatest compliment I can give is that years later I still get specific compliments about the sound of recordings from the past. Great times, great recordings.-Chris C

We love the album we worked on together and we look forward to producing another project with him again.

This is my first time working with Lewis and I have to admit, I've never felt so comfortable at a studio before. The vibe was completely relaxed and we had a good time. Aside from a few technical errors, we were able to record all my vocals in one session! Lewis is also very helpful when it came to certain critiques. I would recommend going to The Truth Studios to everyone. I know I'll be going back. Thanks again Lewis!

Lewis aka GMK is one of the most innovative minds & artistic souls I've ever worked with. He creates magic behind the keys with his fingers, brain & heart as his wand. The professional level of the studio itself matches that of the talent working it.

I really enjoy taking mandolin lessons from Terry. He is not only an extraordinary, even legendary, player himself, but he has the ability to teach his art and craft and that's certainly not always the case. He not only taught me basic things that I missed with my previous instructors, but helped me continue to advance. Highly recommend.

Terrance Enyeart is a professional musician generously sharing his art form and passing on his skills to students. Quality? Mr. Enyeart is one reason I am a professional today. He prepares us to perform in public and provides a venue at no charge monthly. His rates are reasonable. Terrance Enyeart is an excellent teacher.

Working with Dylan is a pleasure. I haven't met anyone who has as much patience and depth of trust in the creative moment as Dylan has. These are crucial traits to have when you're in the middle of capturing inspiration and attempting to realize your vision. Being a musician and songwriter himself, Dylan's perspective encompasses all sides of the project and that is invaluable in the studio! Whatever you're trying to accomplish when booking time with Dylan, not only are you gonna walk away with a song or project you're really proud of but you're also going to have learned a lot simply by hanging out and sharing thoughts and good times together. Dylan's compassion and dedication to the best product are reasons enough to drop him a line and start a conversation!

Hello, Billy Stapleton here. I have recorded 5 studio CD's of my own or with bands I have played with since coming to the North West in 1986. I am proud to say that I have recorded, mastered and completed all these projects @ Studio North in Lynnwood WA. Engineer, Ron Latimier is like having an extra multitalented band member with great ears on your side. I don't think you can produce great music without being a musician yourself. Ron covers all the basses and turns his great ears into sterling tracks. The newly retooled Studio North boasts Protools 9 and a spanking new Digidesign C24 Board. You can do projects big and small, Ken Latimier oversaw the successful "Little Bill & the Bluenotes LIVE!" CD that is selling in it's second 1,000 pressing and recently arranged for a small pressing of a jazz duo I am involved in. I have heard samples of all styles of music done there, Blues, Rock, Rap, Country, Jazz, Vocal groups, and it all stands up to industry production. I record, mix and master @ Studio North and have no plans to go anywhere else. Best, Billy Stapleton
