- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing structure is really quite simple: I offer a Traditional pre-written ceremony or for a little more they can have a completely custom ceremony. There is an added fee for going beyond 25 miles and for each additional 25 miles the amount grows. I also offer an elopement ceremony at my office for the same fees charged at the courthouse.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am constantly on the alert for new ideas for ceremonies, and just recently added a chapter on "the meaning of Commitment" to my "Marriage Prep Course".
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was church ordained in 1980, however I made my living as a professional photographer. As we got older my wife and assistant at weddings had some health issues, so we made the transition to performing ceremonies and we no longer photograph them. I enjoy performing them even more than I did photographing them, and I did enjoy about 38 years of recording weddings on film.
