FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer free estimates and explain the price before work begins. Standard spring replacement is $245 for one spring or $365 for two, installed, plus applicable sales tax. Specialty doors, unusual setups or additional repairs can affect pricing, and I’ll explain those differences upfront. My website’s Repair Wizard also lets you explore repair pricing. I accept cash, check, Zelle and cards; card payments have a 3.5% processing fee.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start by asking what the door is doing and what you’d like to accomplish. Photos or a short video can help me give you useful information and upfront pricing before I come out. At the appointment, I inspect the door, explain what needs attention, and show you why. You approve the price before work starts. For a new door, we go over styles, insulation and opener options, then confirm measurements before ordering.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
