Introduction
The world we live in is full of questions and mysteries waiting to be discovered and investigated. Mathematics is the study of patterns in the world around us. As a mathematics tutor, I strive to provide a positive learning environment where students can strive for excellence in critical thinking and problem solving.
My mission is to help students develop an intellectual toolbox which can help them solve a broad range of problems. My teaching style is Socratic and emphasizes the cultivation of strong habits of mind. I believe that the best way for students to learn mathematics is for them to encounter and wrestle with the challenging problems they may not know how to solve immediately. A student learns the material better when they discover the ideas for themselves rather than be told by someone.
