John was a pleasure to work with and did a fabulous job restoring my father-in-law's 1930s era photo. He worked with us to determine how to restore areas of the photo that were not obvious due to the existing damage (eg. the chin strap was not recognizable in the original) and gave us daily updates including in-progress images so we never had to wonder how things were going. I would highly recommend The Picture Org(anizer)!!

I needed a 40-year-old 12x8 faded family photorestored. I took a picture of it and sent it to him via email for his evaluation. He quickly responded with a positive answer. I received the first proof in a day. It was so true to the original, I did not hesitate to approve the proof and ordered three hard prints. I received the finished copies in two days from providing him with the faded original. I highly recommend him for the restoration of faded photos.

The Picture Organizer (John), not only gave me great service and communicated regularly, the pictures I receivedfrom him were absolutely beautiful! I sent him 2 photo's from the 1930's that were very small - 2x3. He restored a deep crease in one of them, and took off smudges and ink from both. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Scanning/Digitizing of photos, memorabilia, and other objects is priced by the piece. Prices start at $0.50/image for 'standard' sized photos. Larger photos (5x7 to 8x10) are $1.00/image. Documents, news clippings, scrapbook pages, and similar start at $1.50 each. Unusual items are priced individually.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Initial 30 minute phone call or email exchange to discuss your project. Formal bid sent via email. Once approved, arrange for pickup or delivery to my site of the objects to be processed. Regular emails of status during the project through completion. Images are delivered either electronically (no charge) or on removable media provided by the client or purchased on the client's behalf. 50% deposit, with the remainder due on completion.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 30 years of experience with project management in the software industry, combined with 25 years of experience with digital imaging and scanning.
