I cannot say enough good things about Brian. When we started looking for a house we used a couple different realtors and always felt like we were bothering them when we found a house we wanted to look at. We started going to open houses on our own and that's when we met Brian. It's was like we all instantly clicked. We ended up putting an offer in on the house where we met him but it didn't work out. But that didn't stop Brian from continuing to look for houses for us. I think we texted the poor guy at least once a day with either questions or listings we wanted to look at. He never made us feel like we were bothering him. In fact we felt like we were his only clients (which was far from the truth) He'd always make time for us. He has went above and beyond what a realtors job is. He climbed all over the house we bought to make sure it was worth it. He went under the deck, in the attic, on the roof and even went around to the neighbors to ask questions. I know for a fact that none of the realtors we started with would have done this. We are lucky to have gotten Brian and even luckier that he has chosen to be our friend even after the purchase. He has put weekends aside to come help us work on things at the house. Including crawling into the attic again. Our kids love him as much as we do. He has become a part of our family and we love it. So if you're looking for a realtor that really cares about you, not just how much money they will make off the sale Brian is your guy!!! Thank you again Brian for everything!! We love you

We were first time home buyers and Gavin was awesome at helping us get through the process! He was more than happy to spend extra time explaining each step to us. Also, while we were visiting houses he provided great, honest opinions and never made us feel pressured to make a buy. In fact he did the opposite and really encouraged us to take our time and make sure we found something we really liked. We had been warned by numerous people that Realtors tend to really push you to buy quickly so they got a quick buck but with Gavin it was apparent he really cared about us finding a great home not matter how long it took. We would recommend Gavin to anyone!

Ben completely handled my last personal home purchase of residential water front property that had an unusual amount of seller induced and improvement deficiencies. Kelly was my real estate agent when I recently sold my home in the Sunset Hills neighborhood in Ballard. She went way above and beyond to help me get my house on the market quickly, even helping scrub the garage roof and move huge amounts of boxes in my basement. In addition, she really worked with other realtors at Windermere to help determine how best to show my house, how to price it appropriately, and was a huge advocate for me throughout the process. There was some hand-holding... Kelly has amazing, positive energy and I cannot recommend her highly enough!

    Jennifer is an outstanding realtor in the Pacific Northwest. I have had the pleasure of knowing Jennifer from our prior jobs before she transitioned into her dream career, a realtor. When my mother decided to depart and move outside of the Puget Sound, I immediately thought of Jennifer. She took the time to discuss the process and procedures in selling her home, had professional photos taken, and listed the home in record time. The home was listed at 11:00 am and was sold twelve hours later, that’s right, twelve hours!! My mom was more than thrilled with Jen’s five-star service. Jen ensured a smooth transition through all the different steps until the house officially closed. It has been my pleasure for my husband and I to refer Jen to our dear friends, Jaime and Sean.         What does a real estate agent do?

        Real estate agents help their clients buy, sell, and rent commercial and residential properties. There are also real estate agents that sell industrial and agricultural real estate, but the majority sell residential properties. To become a real estate agent, you must be at least 18 years old, successfully complete real estate courses, and pass a real estate exam. Be sure to check for any required licensing, too. Often real estate agents will earn 5 percent to 6 percent of the total home sale price for their work in representing their client. Typically this commission is split equally between the buyer’s agent and the seller’s agent. Here is an overview of what a real estate agent does, according to the United States Department of Labor:

        What should you look for in a real estate agent?

        When you’re hiring a real estate agent you want to find a qualified pro who can negotiate the best deal for your home — whether you’re buying or selling. Reading reviews will help you weed out obvious bad operators; you want to work with someone who treats their clients with fairness and respect. That said, you also want someone who can play hardball and maximize your real estate deal. Ask for references from recent clients, and be sure to call them.

        Experts encourage you to interview more than one prospective real estate agent before hiring. A home sale or home purchase is a big deal — sometimes the biggest deal in a person’s life — and you want to find an agent who will work hard for you. In today’s market, having a real estate agent who is social media savvy and has an attractive online presence is critical. Ask the agent how they plan to market your house. Review their listings, and ask yourself if they have professional photos with homes that are professionally staged. If the answer is no, they might not have the marketing savvy you’re looking for.         What's the difference between a real estate broker and an agent?

        Real estate agents and real estate brokers both help clients buy, sell, and rent residential and commercial properties. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, real estate brokers are licensed to manage their own real estate businesses. Real estate agents cannot have their own real estate office and must work under a broker. Real estate brokers often have real estate firms and employ real estate agents. Those real estate agents may be employees of the firm, or they may work on contract and earn part of any commission they bring into the firm.

        What do real estate agents charge?

        Real estate agents typically don’t charge a set rate to their clients, but rather earn a commission on the price of the final home sale. In traditional real estate, there is a buyer’s agent and a seller’s agent. The two agents receive 5 percent to 6 percent of the final home sale price and split it evenly, meaning they each earn roughly 2.5 percent to 3 percent of the total home sale. If you are a home seller, you may have fees associated with the sale that are above and beyond the commission the agents earn. The real estate agent may have you pay marketing fees, MLS fees, early cancellation fees, or more.
