- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Architecture project fees can vary widely because there is a huge range in the amount of service. Is the architect the type to design every little detail with you (I can do this) or do you just need a working floor plan and you expect minimal involvement during construction? I can tailor the services to fit your needs.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to begin by learning what the goals and motivations for a project are. How will it be used when it is complete? I help identify blindspots early in a project, and I work to resolve those before we commit to a certain budget and fee for the project. Visiting the project site certainly helps a lot to understand what the opportunities are and what we need to look out for.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am licensed in California and Washington and hold a Bachelors and Masters degree in Architecture. I am also an expert on acoustics. Our buildings should sound as good as they look.
