- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My price is $100 per each hour that I play your piano. I don't drive these days and take a bus to your location.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have the client go to YouTube (search for.... "The Michael DeVore Trio" ) and listen to some recordings my trio has made so that they understand the type of music I play. I play all the jazz standards that Keith Jarrett plays. Give me an email with your phone number I can call you to schedule your event with me. I will show up by Metro bus to play on your piano. I am paid in cash in advance of my performance. I will play my heart out for your event!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been instructed by some really talented mentors. Dr. Swisher taught me music theory. Victor Smiley taught me beginning jazz piano followed later by Randy Halberstadt and Jerome Gray. I feel I have a strong foundation in music and each year that passes I get that much better!
