She graduated from Johnson & Whales University, School of Culinary Arts, and Florence University of Arts, Italy. Chef Jalissa’s southern comfort dishes reflect her family’s favorite recipes inspired by the African Diaspora. She creates products for fellow ‘Foodies’ who live for delicious food and love unique culinary experiences. Chef Jalissa currently offers a meal subscription service, weekly dinner service, and private cooking classes. Chef Jalissa Has been in the Restaurant Industry for over 15 years and has worked as a caterer, and at various farmers markets such as Pike Place Market for over a year now. She loves to learn new things and create fun innovative dishes using seasonal ingredients.

Jalissa's food is great, and she works with me to customize the options based on preferences. I've worked with other meal services and the portions have typically been too small. Jalissa's food is filling but also healthy.

I really enjoy working with Chef Jalissa. She takes out the stress of planning an event that includes food. Not only is her food absolutely delicious! Jalissa is a pleasure to work with, she is professional, punctual, prepared and takes pride in her presentation of her cuisines. She use fresh ingredients in her food to give the best quality. Jalissa far exceeded my expectations. We used her as our personal chef for two weeks during a workcation and each day we were blown away by her creations! Not only is she an amazing chef, but she is also a wonderful human! HIRE HER ASAP!!

Jalissa creates delicious dishes! Her ethics are solidand are exhibited in her character. She cares about and interacts with staff, customers, and clients. She oversees the preparations and participates in the service and delivery of her food. She is a culinary chef-genius.
