FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It is very important to me that my client and I have good communication so I can deliver the best possible service. I like to meet and discuss details of the event, menu creation and create a day of plan. My goal is that before the event my client has all of their questions answered and knows exactly what will be happening on the day of the event, they will be able to relax and not wonder or worry about food services, they will be confident that they will be having a delicious successful event.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
My favorite projects I have worked on were farm to table dinners that I created. I love to cook, I love to garden and I love to work with local farmers. I created an event combining all of those things called Jen's in the Kitchen. I worked with local food sources including distillers to put on a community dinner at a beautiful art loft in Pioneer Square in Seattle. It was wonderful to menu create from what is available at the moment and cook a delicious family style meal for a small group of people. The best part was that no one knew each other prior to the dinner and years later many of them are still friends from that night. It was so rewarding to use food and cooking to bring people together and take a rare evening to stop, nourish and enjoy each other.
