Nolan gave us a very reasonable quote for mounting a 65" TV over our fireplace. He even brought along a mount which he showed us was far superior to the somewhat flimsy one we had purchased at Sams and will be returning tomorrow. He showed us the mount's price on Best Buy's website and charged us the same amount. Due to the chimney area, and/or some other construction aspect of our 1980's era condo , it was not a straight forward job. I'm so glad I didn't try to do this myself. Overcoming the obstacle, Nolan spent extra time making sure the mount was solidly attached and that the TV was perfectly level. He had even brought along and installed a cordmate kit (which he sold to us at his cost) to conceal the wires running to our various devices. I was pleasantly surprised that he stuck with his original quote for labor which Im sure was based on considerably less time than he actually spent on our project. Thank you Nolan! We even talked about hiring him for a couple future projects.
My recommendation for Corey is unconditional. He began his first project with us in March of this year when when a friend recommended that he would be good help since I needed to get everything off of two decks in preparation for resurfacing. There were big old terracotta pots full of hard packed soil and the upper deck was up 3 stories. Corey figured out how to do this efficiently and kept up a brisk pace. Once the decks were finished he carried the new pots and all of the soil and new plants back up. Corey was careful to check in with me on coordination so that he could be back as soon as the deck was ready. Our next project was cleaning out the side yard including an old fence, construction debris from the project next door and overgrown plantings and material to go to hazardous waste dump. Corey was quick and organized, set up a system for sorting and brought a helper and huge truck to dispose of the stuff. Over the years I have tried to clean up this area but the project seemed overwhelming and no one knew how to attack it. Our house on Queen Anne Hill is 100 years old and there is always something that needs to be done. Corey has a key and I keep a list so he stops by when needed and takes care of things. A special recommendation for Corey is that my dog loves him and she is a very good judge of character.
My experience with Amika Construction was great. He hung two TVs and put in new outlets to conceal the cords. He got it done faster than I expected, it looks great, and the price was totally reasonable. I would hire again.
Jason is the professional you hope for when hiring a contractor. He did our job on time at the price quoted with excellent communication during. Couldn’t recommend him more.
Axel is a good young contractor that owned up to his reputation. On a personal level he was courteous and kind. Like all contractors, he gets busy and getting to the job on time is challenging, but he came through in the end. Thanks Axel!
Rob is an excellent person to work with. He is very detail oriented and makes sure things are taken care of overall. He understands the big picture and what are trying to do and got work done at my house. He was affordable compared to other contractors and am happy that his work is of good quality. I would highly recommend Rob and I have been hiring him for other jobs every since :-)
We have used several Pro.com contractors as we prepare our home for sale. Triple Power addressed some dry-rot in cedar siding and an interior closet floor and subfloor. They were professional and the finish in both cases exceeded our expectations.
Sarah from Evergreen Construction Group replied within minutes to my request and Dylan and his associate were at the house in less than an hour to fix a minor electrical issue I needed help with. They were friendly and knowledgable and got the job done at the price quoted, which was reasonable. I would definitely hire Evergreen again!
No more than an hour after submitting my work request Pedro reached out to me and immediately made himself available and flexible for what I was looking for. Not only this, he completed half the job the same day of my work request and finished it first thing in the morning. Couldn't recommend or think of someone more punctual and on top of their work. A true professional and easy to work and communicate with. Highly Recommend to anyone in the Puget Sound area looking for landscaping services.
The owner did a great job installing our wood floors and our back splash! He was very professional and even willing to go the extra mile on some detailed work. It's so hard to find a quality contractor who values the customer's satisfaction like Igor. I highly recommend!!
Cedo was great to work with and did an excellent job tiling floors, building / tiling a custom shower and adding old bricks masonry onto an interior wall. He is extremely professional and goes to great lengths to make sure the work is as perfect as possible given the construction site conditions. My remodel turned out to be challenging because of the walls not being straight and the brick wall being very time consuming, but he was very gracious about any unforeseen obstacles and worked extremely hard to get the project finished. He was a very valuable thought partner each step of the way, and I ended up extending the original scope to include installing a backsplash, doors and trim. The end result looks spectacular and i would hire him again in a heartbeat!
Robert & Julie, I cant express my gratitude enough to both of you for the excellent work you did for my mother! I was lucky to have found you through Thumbtack. You responded to my request within a couple hours and met me and my mother the very next day. You walked in to an awful situation a total mess, due to a bad, inexcusable, sloppy delivery job from Sears. Their laziness caused severe water damage from the new refrigerator my mother purchased, as they did not put on the new water hose (which my mother paid for) and left the old one on, which split open and caused a leak. My mother (who is 71 years old) and I were getting nowhere with Sears. They didnt want to take responsibility. We didnt know how to proceed. You went way above and beyond your job as a contractor. You told us about the laws in Washington State and that Sears and their delivery contractors are 100% liable. You said you would make all the calls and that she wouldnt have to pay a dime. You called all the right people (which took hours and hours of your time) and got the ball rolling! You were able to get her home owners insurance to step in right away and pay for the damages upfront so you could begin working right away, so that my mom could use her kitchen, hallway, and bedroom again. You were able to get her home owners insurance to go after Sears/delivery Contractor Company! You also did many, many other things for us. You noticed little things here and there that needed to be fixed in her house and didnt charge her for fixing them. Nobody else would do this. One of the many things you did that goes way above and beyond is that you saw what a hassle it was for mom to get in and out of her house, due to the doors and screen doors having 3 separate keys!!! Juliethank you for going and making her one key that fits all of the doors!! You also dealt with Home Depot for us, for damaged doors they put in and the damage they caused installing them. You again made all the calls (which took hours of phone time again) and were able to get the store manager and supervisor out to moms house. You got her half her money back and got the OK to fix it properly and repair the damage! You certainly didnt have to do this. But I know you did it because you heard what a nightmare it had caused my mother and that they were not being fair to her. Thank you for the fantastic work you did fixing my mothers house, Robert! Thank you, Julie, for all of your help, sitting with my mom and being her friend, and helping out Robert every step of the way. You both are very compassionate, honest, hard-working, and all-around awesome! You took the stress off my mom by taking care of everything. EVERYTHING!! As you know, this is just a short summary of what you did for us. We know that you are way more than a contractor. You both are beautiful people with big hearts. Ill be forever grateful to you. I did hire these contractors and they did a great job for me. Had a bathroom up dated and they came in very professional, things were done in a timely matter. This is a father and son team that knows the business. I will be having future work to be done and hope these folks will do it for me. This team is my new go to place to call when I have projects. Thanks again guys you were great
I had a great experience with Tandem Construction. Dennis was running a little late, so he texted me to inform me of his arrival time. He efficiently and quickly provided the service and answered some questions that I had regarding other issues I had.
The job was a earthquake retrofit. I had spent six months on the wait list with another earthquake retrofit company, only to be dropped four weeks before they were supposed to start the work, so I was in a huge panic, because I had a larger scope project of an entire basement remodel scheduled to start as soon as the retrofit was done. Needless to say, I was terribly worried I wouldn't be able to find another contractor who would be able to do the work. I VERY luckily found Sound Pacific, who recognized my time crunch, and were happy to step in and take over. They were extremely competent, well organized, and got the job done in the correct amount of time, so that my basement remodel could proceed on time. The best part about working with them is they are very communicative at all times as to what is happening with the project, and were very good at asking questions as to what the customer wanted. I very much enjoyed working with them, and would gladly recommend them to anyone. If my basement contractor falls through on the job, I have already informed him I have a great team who I would be thrilled to have takeover. Thank you Derek and Michael for all your hard work. Sincerely, HG, West Seattle
happy with the work done beside he's coming late.
Pedro and his team did a wonderful job with the Inspection tasks we gave him. He was able to squeeze part of the job in to accommodate our timing, problem solved a difficult dry rot solution where several other experienced contractors couldn’t and executed the job on time, quickly, perfectly and left the site tidy. Communication is great, workmanship perfect and easy to work with! He’s on my preferred list! Thanks Pedro!
Art (TJ) was the BEST find of all the contractors we have used on Thumbtack! We had a difficult drywall project and his work was stellar, going above and beyond. Nicest guy too- very friendly and professional ...and excellent at communicating. Art met our specific scheduling needs and we were so impressed by him. Will definitely have him out again for any more drywall or construction needs. Thanks Art!
Very hard working guys and they went extra mile to help me fix my fence. Excellent quality of the concrete work. Highly recommended for your project!
Josh and his crew at JWBuilders did exceptional work on our new Timbertech deck! From working through all of our ideas to the deck plans, the permit, and quality construction of the deck-- JMBuilders covered it all. They were reliable, knowledgeable and made the process seamless. We love our deck, but we are especially impressed by the time and thought that Josh puts into his work. We look forward to working with this company on the next phases of our backyard landscape!
The job was a tricky, high roofing job. He not only completed the job to my satisfaction, but did a couple of things beyond my expectations and included them in the job. The work was done within the necessary time period, clean up was completed on schedule and within budget. There were no extra costs. James Luster was great to work with, and instead of finding reasons why something could not be done, he figured out ways to do it. Safety of his men was always a consideration, as was his concern for our house. The people he employed were experienced, knew their job and were respectful of our home. I would heartily recommend Dog Construction. Peter D.Snow
