Sylvia is a true dog whisperer and she has saved our family many times. The first time I was almost in tears because my puppies were fighting all the time and I was afraid I might have to re-home one of them. She calmly told me that all I needed to do was learn how to be the pack leader. She was right! Once the dogs knew my husband and I were in charge, they no longer fought each other for dominance. The next time was when my husband was away in the army and I became too sick to take care of my dogs. My dogs are my babies and I'm so grateful that Sylvia was there to watch over them. She took care of them as if they were her own until I got better and my husband came home. They were so happy and healthy and vibrant when we picked them up. Sylvia has also taught me how to do service dog training with my dog, Ike. Sylvia loves all creatures, human or animal, and has a big heart. She especially reaches out to help veterans and the disabled. There is no one else I would trust more with my family, you can trust her with yours.
I have 2 rescue chis and one shows dog on dog aggression, dog to person aggression, fearful and reactive small dog syndrome, stranger danger issues and a list of others small issues. After a very thorough phone consultation we made an appt to come to my home I got effective methods that were easy to follow and have gotten immediate results. Ive been on my own only 1 day since martha left and I have started to exercise several modifications on my own and I can see the behaviour change, such as waiting at the door until I give permission to exit, not jumping up on the couch uninvited, barking at lots of little noises and he listens to me and my leadership carries much more weight now. Martha audio tapes your sessions and leaves you the tapes to review. I also video taped them and have been reviewing segments in the last day which is helpful. She comes just one time and addresses everything at that visit. And it is effective to do it that way. It probably costs less and it takes less time out of everyones schedule. I like getting it done in one shot. For her level of experience and the effectiveness of her teqnique she is a good value. She understands the psychology of the dog, the "why" and gets to the root of that as opposed to just "training". Its not about just the dog changing, you as the leader have to change too and she shows you exactly how to do that. Follow up phone calls are included so if something isnt working quite right or something else arrises she can coach you over the phone if you call her. I am so glad I did this. I know that soon I wont have to worry about my dog nipping at strangers, or barking non-stop everytime someone comes to the door, or growling at my husband when he comes to bed or attacking my other chi. Thanks Martha!
I have been in the veterinary field for more than 20 years but I've never trained a dog. Without Jenn's help I would be lost! I own two Belgian Malinois under the age of 2 and they are a handful!Jenn's skilled guidance has been detrimental in the formation of obedient owner and obedient dogs!
A little over a year ago we came to Belynda with our Standard Poodle Annie. We had done the normal puppy and advanced obedience training, which taught her the basic commands, but she had some deeper rooted problems. We also had another trainer that came to the house and we put Annie thru "boot camp" better but she still had issues. We met with Belynda and she put Annie in some uncomfortable situations and video taped Annie's reactions. Belynda determined Annie had insecurity issues and not fear as we had always been told. We did the eight week individual training course and now have been attending the group classes for a year. Annie is much happier and interacts with other dogs much better.
Jeff is great! He really cares about helping dogs and their owners. Its not just about making money for him. He wants to see the dogs succeed, and he really helps the people learn to teach their dogs. I have worked with him with my dog for about 16 weeks in the past and seen drastic improvement in her behavior. When I had issues teaching her certain skills, he observed what we were doing and helped me change things to make sure she would understand and learn. I am planning to continue to work with him for her training. He is always very truthful with me if I am making a mistake in my training so that it can be corrected to speed up my dogs learning and not confuse her. I have known him for several years professionally and know that he really cares what happens to the dogs he works with. I have seen him pour his heart into working with a family to help their pet only to see him broken hearted when he falls in love with the dog and the family decides to get rid of the dog anyway. If you use Jeff salter and dedicate the time needed to bond with and practice with your dog you WILL NOT go wrong! I am 100% satisfied with all of the training we have received with Jeff so far and am going to be working on some much more complicated things with him in the future.
I took my puppy to training at A canine Experience and had a great time. We both learned how to get along and I learned how to train and behave around my best friend. I still count on them for advice when my dog is not quite perfect.
I have a fully licensed and bonded pet care company that specializes in private in-home boarding. I have a quarter acre of fully fenced yard, a small rambler that is conducive to geriatric pets and puppies alike. I board pets of all sizes, giant or miniature. I will not overbook, and I prefer to maintain one-on-one attention to your pet, as though it were mine. I do provide dog walks, dog park visits, overnights, bow wow boot camps, kitty visits, small animal boarding/visits, reptile visits/boarding, pet taxi, and house care associated with pet care. I adore animals, and I have 10 years of animal care and nutrition specialization. I work from home, so my boarding is really hands on, and most of my animals become very attached to my family. I have my "regular fuzzy kids," and I am careful to interview all my new clients well, to insure that they will meld well with the pack. I really enjoy meeting new people and their pets! Animals are my favorite subject. I have many references, both professional and personal. I prefer to stay small and develop relationships, rather than grow big and impersonal. I look very forward to meeting you and your fuzzy one!
Gina at One Good Dog! Training is wonderful. I refer my daycare clients to her for training with fabulous results!
Alana was fantastic. She met with us all at our home. She got to know us and our dogs. Then she spent personal time going over any concerns. Showed us the best way to train each of our dogs. It was a fabulous experience. We recommend her to anyone who is looking to train their dogs.
We hired Kyle's dog training to help with our dogs Aspen and Ryder. We have seen positive improvements in Aspen's confidence with social issues and coming to us when she is called. Ryder had issues with meeting other dogs and walking on a leash, he has come a long way since we started our private lesson with Kyle. Thank you Kyle :)
Professional. Personal. Friendly. Fun. These are just a few words clients use to express their feelings after working with us. Training the dog is much more then getting Fido to "sit" on command. It is understanding how to speak"Doglish". This is what every dog speaks through body language. Our classes don't just teach you how to control your dog, but also how to understand, and communicate with your dog so you both achieve progress. Two decades of working with families, like yourself, in need of help. We work with k-9's and their owners all around the Olympic Peninsula, you can rest assure that you will have fun learning with your dog. We have experience working with dogs of all sizes, ages and stages. There are no breed restrictions. We also have experience working with disabled clients who need a specialized, trained service dog. Our class is one on one, in the private of your own home. We provide you with training, field trips, and understanding the laws both, state and federal and how it applies to using a service dog. We also help in preparing the client to advocate for themselves when they come across situations where they are not allowed access because of the "no animal" policy. Most services are provided in the comfort of client's home. Services include the following: * manners * basic obedience * behavior issues * GCG testing We also offer service dog testing, training, as well as workshops for businesses on access issues with service dogs.
I have known Kathy as an educator and mentor in early socialization for assistance/service dogs in training when I became a volunteer for PAWS With a Cause, a Michigan-based service dog agency. I began to raise service puppies with PAWS and Canine Companions for Independence and through Kathys education, training and support I have been able to expertly socialize, handle and utilize a therapy dog. I have the utmost respect for Kathy as an educator through her background, knowledge and teaching style. She makes learning fun and has always left me with the desire to learn more. Kathy has been working with me and my disabled son in hands-on socializing and training with our dogs for 6 years. The confidence we have developed has been amazing! We have 3 happy and healthy "girls" that have learned to adapt to a variety of situations with Kathy's early socialization techniques. Kathy has the ability to teach with expertise in a supportive manner, always encouraging the learner to stretch their capacity to become an expert. She readily shares her knowledge and has a wonderful way of aligning herself with her "students" in sharing the learning process together. Thanks Kathy for helping me, my son and my three "girls!" I couldn't have done it without you!
I offer the following: * Professional Dog Training * Puppy Management * Board and Train * Private Lessons * Off-Leash Training I have 18 years of experience with a variety of owners and dogs, from puppy obedience to K9 unit training. I won't settle for less than getting owners to train their dogs off leash.
I offer affordable dog training and off-leash exercise in the Seattle area. I have been in business since 2000. I use common sense positive training methods. I also offer telepathic animal communication and emotional clearing as a way of getting to the deeper issues that drive behavior. Although this is not necessary, it is a great way to understand your dog's perspecive in any situation. I take dogs on daily trips to local large, off-leash parks. I have found that giving dogs regular off-leash exercise and play with other dogs in a natural setting creates happier, calmer, more grounded dogs who are much easier to live with! It is also a great way to socialize dogs, so they are comfortable around all kinds of dogs, people and situations. (limited area) I have trained all of the dogs I take to the off-leash areas so they are polite, good canine citizens and are under my voice control. I believe all of these methods help the dog and their owners to understand and respect each other because behavior issues are usually part of a bigger picture.
