Nola and her staff did such a fantastic job catering our wedding. From helping us plan to menu, providing a delicious tasting, answering questions about logistics and dietary restrictions, and providing stellar food and customer service to the day of the wedding, Nola and her team went above and beyond to make our day special. Our main entrée was fig balsamic glazed wild BBQ salmon with mango kiwi salsa. I wish I could make something this delicious myself, because it was amazing. Our salad consisted of organic mixed greens with julienned apple, shaved fennel, herbed crouton, and a really light but creamy bleu cheese dressing. They even made a separate salad with a different dressing for our dairy-free guests. The guest (and groom’s) favorite was our side: Beecher’s mac and cheese. So good! It was very stormy the day of our wedding, and a lot of things went wrong for us. Nola and her team went beyond the call of duty and helped out where they shouldn’t have needed to. They kept an incredibly positive attitude the entire time, conversed with guests, and helped reassure an incredibly stressed-out bride. The only complaint I heard from any guests was the portion-control at the buffet, but with a buffet we personally feel that was probably necessary. I had been concerned that people would take more than their fair share and leave guests at the end of the line with no food, and I’m sure that was the whole reason for starting out with smaller portions. I also heard that guests were invited to come back for seconds once everybody had been served, so I’m sure everyone got enough food. Overall, we were more than satisfied with Nola, her team, and the food. The food was everything we had hoped for, and the service was outstanding. We recommend them to anybody planning a wedding or other event.

Lily at Emerald City Arts is absolutely fantastic. She is a pleasure to work with from start to finish and made the process of engaging her talents smooth and easy - and enjoyable. Her work is AMAZING. We contracted Emerald City Arts to do face and body painting for a corporate event, and it was a such a hit. People were standing in line to get painted and having an absolute blast. The artwork was fantastic, and she was able to paint incredible images so quickly. I had a half face skull (Day of the Dead sort of look) done for myself, and people complimented me all night long on how cool it looked. Book Emerald City Arts and you will be so happy that you did. We decided to hire a wedding planner because my husband and I were completely clueless when it came to weddings. We wanted our special day to be easy for us and our parents, so we decided getting a planner was the best way to go. Many planners/companies ask for an exorbitant amount of money. Geri stood out to us because of her reviews and she had a totally reasonable price. We had a consult with her and knew right away that she fit our personalities. She's very personable and easy to talk to. We were totally intimidated by the wedding planning process and she made it really easy for us. She listened to all our ideas and was totally on board with some of our nerdy requests (like including Yodas and Ewoks in our center pieces). She had great ideas that really helped to capture our vision for our wedding day. She was never offended when there was something that we didn't want. She made our wedding day so easy (or at least as easy as you can make a wedding day, cuz you're going to be a little stressed no matter what!) She had everything set up at the venue and took care of all the break down. Neither me or my family had to worry about any of the clean up. All we had to do was show up and enjoy our day. She even helped take some of our stuff after the wedding and met up with us the next day to drop it off. Our wedding day wouldn't have been the awesome day that it was without her! We love Geri!

I met Geri, when all hope was lost ,most of my friends disappointed me. I went on thumback to search for a wedding decorator for my wedding reception , I contacted 5 decorators , Geri was the 1st to respond with a very reasonable quote We got connected and she came to my house , so we could see face to face, I expressed all my frustration to her, and that I have spent over my budget limit. She told me I should let her know about what I would like for my reception decorations .my list was endless and I kept adding to my list every week. She was very understanding and was very willing to do what ever I wanted without no additional cost. Her price quote was way cheaper than others , she and her husband went out of their way to make me happy. My wedding reception decoration was very classic and expensive but what I paid was very reasonable . She also helped me with other wedding ideas, helped to decide on my wedding cake colors and flavors , and also lots of encouragement when I was stressed . She was always keeping in touch with me to check how I was doing because I was so stressed ,she responded to my txt messages 24/7 , any time of the day or night she was prompt to respond. The name says it all. You will definitely have your wedding the way you want it, truly yours!!! Geri is like your fairy godmother. I had to plan my wedding out of state and Geri and I emailed each other back and forth the whole time till the wedding week. She probably made 5+ drafts of quotes for me. She won’t stop till you are satisfied with EVERYTHING. She is very prompt about replying. Geri offers better deals and decorations that I've imagined. I spent less than I planned and had everything plus more. On top of her knowledge, she made sure that all the fabrics, linens and chair covers are clean and wrinkle free. She took her time to drive for two hours to do that. She will also make sure that all the fabric are clean before she returns them. You will definitely feel her love and support while working with her. You will not regret working with her. I promise! I was so pleased with her that I gave all the decorations that I’ve personally made so she can use them for her future clients. I told her to let brides use them for free. There are about 15 glass bottles with purple ribbon and fake various purple/white flowers. Don’t forget Geri is your fairy godmother!

I cannot say enough about how great my experience was with Cherelle and her husband Igor. I had the lovely opportunity to work with Cherelle after finding her on Craigslist. With a very tight budget for our wedding I did not think I could afford a wedding decorator but decided to reach out to her and at least ask. She said she could work with any budget and definitely worked with mine. Throughout the whole process from start to finish Cherelle has been amazing! I am a very picky and indecisive person and Cherelle helped me find my vision for our wedding. She texted me very often her ideas and sent pictures of DIYs she did for our wedding. She even stopped by my house 3 days before the wedding to pick up extra flowers I had picked from my parents garden to use for the wedding since I could not exceed my budget for more floral and wanted bigger centerpieces. She never once made me feel bad about being on such a limited budget and instead helped brainstrom ideas to find alternative options to create my vision of the wedding. I loved how she responded very quickly to all my emails and text and really helped take a lot of weight off my shoulders. As a bride, I had so much on my plate, it was nice to have someone that was my go to person for the decorating. Not only was Cherelle professional throughout the entire process, she is such a genuine person and made me feel like I was planning my wedding with a friend and just bouncing ideas off each other. Cherelle and Igor made our lives so much easier by competently handling many of our wedding decorations. Some of the decorations we definitely would not have been able to set up ourselves, but Cherelle and Igor found a way to make them work. A few examples of the types of decorations that Cherelle and Igor did for us are hanging indoor paper lanterns and flower strands, very classy floral center pieces, and lights hung outside. It was very easy to work with them as Cherelle was very responsive and had a lot of good ideas for us to consider. We recommend them if you are looking for someone to handle any important details of your wedding.
