FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I have a thorough Style Profile questionnaire that I send to clients, complete with lots of thought-provoking questions for them to consider about what roles they play in their lives and how they want to be perceived. I encourage my clients to get involved in the process by pulling tear sheets from magazines or images from Pinterest that epitomize their new look.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended the Conselle Institute of Image Management, a masters equivalent program in visual design and styling focusing on the social and psychological effects of dress. There I was personally mentored by Image Expert Judith Rasband, one of nine Certifed Image Masters in the world.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Back in 2009, a friend shopping, pulling various items for her to try on. She loved the recommendations and walked away with lots of new things to incorporate into her closet. "You should do this for a living!" she kept saying. After the 3rd or 4th time, I took her seriously and began to investigate Wardrobe Styling as a career. 3 weeks later, I was in the classroom at Conselle getting certified as an Image Consultant!
