I got to know Brad years ago while working on an unrelated project together, and I have seen the quality finish of his work in another home. So when I needed help on my current project, He was the first person I called. He arrived precisely on the scheduled time and day and worked efficiently. He knew about the code requirements for my project and the practicalities of the job. He was good at explaining them to me in a way that made sense. I also really appreciated that he left everything tidy and did no collateral damage while working on my project - I have not had the same luck with other contractors. Of all of the contractors I have had to use over the years, I'd say he's head and shoulders over anyone else. "

Finish Carpentry

Brad has been in the trade for many years - he knows his stuff and knows how to plan a project so you get it right the first time. His planning process is through, objective, and transparent. It provides a high degree of confidence that you’ll get what your going for at the price you agreed to.

Thanks Josh. Glad to have your confidence and I'd be delighted to work with you on another project and don't hesitate to throw my name out into the world.

Door Installation

Brad fixed a broken door for me. He visited my home twice and was exactly on time for both visits. He was flexible to work with - I went against his advice of replacing the whole door frame and instead wanted to replace only part of the frame as it would save me $50. While he pointed out that it would not be possible to match the stain exactly, he was fine with doing what I wanted. The job was done well. He finished within the time estimate he gave and cleaned up thoroughly after the job. He had forgotten to mention a 15% surcharge on out-sourced work but took it off the final bill rather than increase his initial estimate. Would definitely recommend him.

Brad remodeled our kitchen and did a fantastic job. He goes the extra mile to make sure all elements of a project are accomplished in a high quality manner, and he is an excellent communicator when unexpected issues arise so you can work through them to a good outcome.

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Proposals are based on a cost of labor and materials plus a set fee as a mark up.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

Before any numbers can be determined for how much any project will cost there needs to be a set of working drawings by a design professional. These drawings need to include, but not limited to, specifications for dimensions, code compliance, finish materials and locations. The more detailed the drawings of what the client wants, the more accurate a proposal can be generated. I only take on projects that provide detailed working drawings produced by a licensed design professional such as an architect and the project will be getting building permits.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been working in the construction industry professionally for 35 years and for myself as an independent contractor since 2003. I taught Carpentry and Construction at Edmonds Community College for two years and am an active participant in continuing education opportunities for trade and business specific trainings.
